1) Why not swing with Druid on turn two instead of just passing? (extra point of damage...)
2) That guy must have been a doofus. Why on earth would he play the 5th land when he needed it to combo? Any player worth their salt would have kept the land in hand.
4:35 with nothing else to do, how about attack for 1 genius. Also 3 Overrun isn't that a little excessive. Almost every list I've seen including my own only run 2. Especially if you have multiple Garruk's.

your opponent made a HUGE play mistake that made you win. he played a fifth land and then swans, when there was absolutely no need. you had obviously left path mana up, and he could have used his bluffs to possibly draw into the standard win
I really think a BR list that is aggro-control with a tight sideboard is the way to go. You have stuff like 2 mana 2/2 pro white, you have blightning (in matchups other than GW...) you have access to pithing needle and thought hemoridge or whatever.
see here is his mistake. he was just a rich kid playing that list because it won barcelona, not because he knew about it.
he had no need to play turn 5 land. ultra play mistake. the point of his deck (and mine) is to keep as many lands in hand with a minimum of 4 on table and max of 5 for deny reality. he didnt know how to use it. of course, i have an anwser to overrun, in my swans i have some thought hemmorages, \ because its main disadvantage is naturalize, wilt leife leige, and swans.
hey, can you mind telling me the EXACT URL that you found the ptq schedule? my computer is a little messed up, and it seems weird to have 5 in your small state, new jersy, and only 2 in my big city, atlanta. i can only find 2 dates, one already passing while i was on vacation. can you help me find some? i know i might sound dumb, but i have a rocking deck that could seriously win one.

the guy playing swans played his land before playing swans... he would have won had he held the land and gone off

Why do you tease information about Duels of the Planeswalkers, only to not mention it in the actual show?
Stijnhoofd 2 years ago
everybody knows it's taking forever to come out, lol
proffessors 2 years ago
True, but why tease when you have nothing to show for it?

He realized this afterwards, but, we did check and his next two cards were two cascade spells (can't remember which)

ok, that's good. but still...

whats w/ only 1 brushland?
Amanisawesome 2 years ago
It's partially an affodability thing and partially for the fact that all 14 non-basics the original list ran weren't neccessary.
