I like the record, because excessive modesty of Mr. Marek, let him admit that it is actually an organ repairman, not a musician. Sample master's works from the Vyšší Brod is his major work on the monastery organ. He likes to be praised and praise him. Hip hip hooray.
This piece he s playing is by Max Reger its the fuge from his pascagalia and fuge i think.ive got the music somewhere will dig it out and let u know exactly what piece.
The panels are probably off because it looks as if the organ is being worked on. There is no other reason for removing the panels, I can see the top panel lying on the floor to the left.
It is the theme of the wellknown Max Reger's Introduktion und Passacaglia in d-moll. The rest is improvisation. A similair theme of passacaglia was taken before by Rheinberger in one of his organ sonates
The organ is in cistercian abbey at Vyssi Brod(Czech Rep.),built by L.Breinbauer in late 19th. century. In time this recording missing upper desk of the console.
The organ is amazing- if only it was in good shape. The panels missing from the console are frightening, leaving the delicate action exposed. It seems like an organ teetering on the brink of oblivion...
Its called "shnizzel bitten shoutin bombed out flask of custard! and its in G demolished you twit! does anyone know of a band looking for an o k conga player?.....lots of love ....jimboss.
This is an improvvisation on the theme of the passacaglia of the Introduction and Passacaglia in D minor by Reger, but I don't know how much deeply this organist exploit that theme.
first bars from the "dies irae" cantus, than improvized on the Passacaglia-theme from Reger "Introduktion und Passacaglia d-Moll o.O.

Hiding his exhibitionism. Certainly as you listen to yourself indulge in their quality and the quality of music shows.

Es el tema de la pasacaglia de la "Introducción y pasacaglia" de Reger. Pero parece una improvisación más que la obra de Reger...

Damn!! That'll haunt me in my sleep! It's so familiar but, alas, I don't know it!

It isn't Reger's Introduction und Passacaglia.
The organist use only the main theme of that composition (beginning pedal solo) and after he improvise.

It sounds like Bach's Passacaglia but it is not.

Hello,
the piece he's playing is the passacaglia from Max Reger's Introduction and Passacaglia in D Minor opus post humus.
