Hey, we use a USB mixing desk which is way better than the soundcard on my PC and so the quality is much better. And i (the guitarist) use a Marshall JVM410 and an Sure SM57 instrument micraphone.

Hey, we use a USB mixing desk which is way better than the soundcard on my PC and so the quality is much better. U have to set the camera on the pc to record from the desk because it is set to record from the sound card usually. we use this software aswel for the camera, its called debut free webcam software, just type that into google and it should be the first one, its free and is really good :) Also ure best recording in MOV format.

Im using my gibson, my Marshall JVM-410H and my dunlop crybaby wah.

Thanks. And u cant go wrong with marshall, especially their more expensive stuff. The MG series is fine but i love the sound u get from valve (tube) amps.

Yea they are a good amp mate, the AVT series is great cus they are better at higher volumes. They are also more toneful because like you said they have a preamp valve which ads warmth to the distortion. So in my opinion and because i own one that i have never had problems with, u should go for it as long as it looks in good condition and the seller has good feedback.
