  • tune of the week! dance of the week! dress of the week!!!!

  • The only reason I ever remembered the "Ghost World" movie was because of this song at the intro. After that, I didn't remember a thing about the film.

  • I love the guitar parts... they are very elegant almost James Bond worthy!

  • who found this video by looking for this song in the hinekien commercial?

  • @ltlblondeflirt I Did it is awesome!

  • Never seen a girl dance like that before

  • The girl in the video probably died of head trauma, I've never seen someone shake their without getting sick and dropping to the floor

  • first time i heard this was in the Heineken commercial and now that ive heard the whole thing i dont like it, I FRIGGIN LOVE IT!

  • XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • city city yurk inma jer alahe....no entiendo esta wea pero bailan bien y es divertido ....dont get it but they dance just fine!

  • Very cool piece.

The recording technology they used sounds like it was not then-state-of-the-art, which makes this sound all the more unique with the juxtaposition of the pre-40's tech distortion on the horns and percussion and the very 1960's electric guitar.

  • what language is this sung in?

  • @steponme1371 It's sung in Hindi, clip is from an Indian movie called "Gumnaam"

  • @steponme1371 language is HINDI - from the 1965 indian suspense thriller movie called gumnaam - cheers

  • Very energentic, pumps your heartbeat up and loads of choreography.

  • That lady in the gold is obviously being helipcopter dicked

  • Awesome and hip !

  • This is so hip I can't stand it. Timeless fun music. Thanks for posting!

  • @dhh02192 watch the same clip at ..... watch?v=XnBbjc5hmho

At the top right hand corner will pop-up "watch full movie" - click on that and the song is right after the opening credits with English sub-titles.

  • @dhh02192 I followed what nizarshivji said, the whole movie is here, the song starts 5:50 into the movie

  • Love it!!!!! Everytime I hear it I want to get up and dance!

  • Makes me wish I was in a club in 1930s Shanghai. Kinda like the beginning of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

  • @GOODPLAYA20 Benny Goodman's "Sing Sing Sing" would fit that bill. It was used in the beginning of the trailer for "The Artist"....an excellent flick by the way.

  • 2 people cant dance

  • cant help but shake my ass

  • Catchy tune, better to hear the whole thing.

  • Jaan Pechanho!

    Great song. On replay!

  • Spelled on itunes "Jaan Pehechan ..." Hope this helps your search.

  • Kill Bill comes to mind....

  • Utterly, one of the best Dance routines I've ever seen!

  • @slye1991: you might be right - but I think the middle guitar may be electric - not plugged in - though. Visible at 3:07. Fun music!

  • Hindu Music and Films are the best.. Middle of the movie for NO reason whatever they begin singing and dancing,, Not too many Hollywood movies do that , Baliwood movies are REFRESHINGLY different,,,

  • Freakin awesome. I was born in the wrong decade. This shit is too cool.

    PS - Heineken is swill.

  • Toooo funneee! So, can anyone interpret the words to English for us?

  • @MrsCondee jaan pehchan ho-we have got to knw each other,

Jeena asaan ho - so dat life becomes easier

dil ko churane wale ankh na churao-u heart stealer make eye contact..

naam to batao- tell me ur name..

  • @debonier07 O'm'gosh! Thank you so much for responding to my request for an interpretation! I guess it truly is a date song and perfect for The Date commercial that Heineken has made! =) Thanks, again!

  • @MrsCondee Jaan pehchaan ho, jeena aasan ho

Dil ko churane walon, aankh na churao, naam toh batao:

Let's get to know each other and make life going easier

The stealer of my heart don't try to ingnore me at least, tell me your name.

Aaj yeh shaam jawan, yun na chali jaaye

Phir se na aayegi yeh kisi ke bulaaye

Hope this beautiful evening does not pass by (without any event)

It won't return again even if u will want to

  • @MrsCondee Bolo na yeh na bolo tum, ho gaye ishaare

seedhi seedhi chot hui dil pe humare

Though u've not uttered a word, i've got the sign

    which my heart has understood

Chup chup dekha dekhi, nazrein diwani

zara si yeh baat ban jaaye na kahani

    Wacthing each other slyly...

this little thing may be just a part of a story (which will eventually follow)

  • THAT IS FRIKKIN GREAT!!!! This is the second band I have hooked into because of the creative thinking from Heineken, Amsterdam Accoustics is another but this is in a totally different orbit, Thank god I am a child of the 60's

  • @woodbanger2020 I agree, sir. Heineken seems to have great taste in music!

  • 1:58 thats where everyone in the video begins to go retarded

  • Thank GOD for the Heineken commercial!!! Otherwise, I never would have heard the song or seen this video. Love the song, love the dance, love that it takes me back to the 60's. Is it a little corny? Sure, but most 60's movies were. ;) That's what I love about it. :D I couldn't get this song out of my head today, but all I know are the first 3 lines. LOLOL Couldn't wait to get home to watch the video again. Thanks for posting it, TohKay! :D

  • This video is bomb!

  • Love the song, but apparently in the 60's Indians hadn't quite hit their stride in terms of dancing ability or beauty...

  • @2Skinny the whole video is sick . you are tripping.

  • @IATIKa0tiC I love it! It's different.

  • john waters

  • My gosh...I can't stop watching it!!! *Shaky Head...Shaky Head*

  • @GolfTVnet me 2

  • thats some catchy ass music! love it!

  • Indian music rocks!

  • WICKED.

  • So much to love about one video.

  • Awesome, but why so long?

  • I think it's amazing that this musical number has become a huge hit all over the world via YouTube, and it's stayed popular for years now. It's a combination of a kooky song and even kookier dancing - and also, I think, because most people who like it don't understand a word of the lyrics.

  • @hebneh I REALLY LIKED IT before I understood a word. And I love it now. Why are people so afraid of something different.

  • Check the Group's name: Ted Lyons and his cubs..... LOL

  • rockin the Bob Digi masks!

  • The sound from the song is an electric guitar but their all playing acoustic

  • @slye1991 The guitarist in the middle looks like he's playing a hollow body with a P-90 pickup. Of course that's moot since Indian movies did all of their sound after the footage was shot.

  • @slye1991 Welcome to the world of (mass) Indian cinema. But the music itself rocks.

  • @slye1991 the middle one (red body and white capsule) is an electric guitar.

  • That's the most fun I've had in a while.

  • BAD ASS.
