all movie to games production have failed totally, except for this ghost busters concept!

This is truely Ghostbusters 3 in a different form of media.

The story and acting is everything you want a ghostbusters movie to be, only this time, you get to be one :D

I seen the game. It would have made an awesome Ghostbusters movie. I'm glad they're makeing Ghostbusters 3 even though it did take so long for them to do it. But I guess like Cheech Marin said in Part 2 "Well, better late than never."

Yeah there's about 3 or 4 that came out within the same decade of the films so you might want to do your research before making game reviews.

JaneBlast920, there was never a third or fourth movie. There was only two. The second movie came out in 1989, 5 years after the first. A third Live Action addition to the franchise will be on the way to principle photography as soon as the script is finished, and the cast, producers, crew, and budget are arranged.

The original Ecto 1 from the movie will be at GameStop #688 (near Dallas) on Monday night after 9pm for the release party. They said they'll start selling the game at midnight.

This game isn't 25 years late. They had several Ghostbusters games spanning from the atari to the genesis, but they all pretty much sucked.

I would have to watch the movie again but what I noticed on the car is theres the no ghost logo on the hood. I dont recall that being in the 1st or 2nd one. Also what is with the transition back to the orignal no ghost logo? In the 2nd film the ghost was giving a "peace sign" indicating "two" for Ghostbusters 2. Why wouldnt they keep that or go to a "three" finger layout since I have heard numerous times this is supposedto be the third film.

Car didnt get smashed in the orignal movie. The police car did parked infront of Ecto 1 as the road broke apart. But Ecto 1 drove off on her own at the end of the movie. Only thing is Peck got nailed with a huge column of liquidfied marshmellow as he was next to Ecto 1. They did upgrades to Ecto1 and was named Ecto1-A with new equipment and LCD panels on the side.

Could have, I know they were driving Etco 1 at the begining of the 2nd movie with the car billowing smoke out the back end so they probably got impounded, or got finned by he city for pollution lol.

Actually, the game is already finished. It would've been released late last year if it weren't for Activision idiotically canceling the game. Development was finished, so all that was left was for the publisher to do the marketing mumbo-jumbo. All we have to do now is wait till the 25th anniversary (on the month) of the original movie's release. Thing is, this is NOT a game-to-movie adaptation. This is THE third movie, essentially, according to Akroyd himself.

The game was finished for last year's canceled release, but they have used this extra time to polish some aspects of the gameplay, graphics and added a multiplayer component.

I don't think so.... As long as it's been since the last decent film to game adaptation there have actually been some classics.

To name a few:

Batman (NES)

Batman Returns (SNES)

Robocop (Arcade)

Gremlins 2: The New Batch (NES)

and others.

The guy clearly knows nothing about the history of video games but im hardly surprised, he works for ITN after all.

only reason he didnt want to is because he said the movie was loosing its actor power and relying more on special effects and he wouldn't just take part in a light show, and let them butcherthe concept. he wants it to be all acting just like the 1st movie was. HE didnt really want to do part 2 but stuck in. barely.
