Wow, thanks for this! I only have the steel for sharpening, and I admit, I really don't do it as much as I should... Where do you buy the big brick-like shaprmeners? Also, I've seen some sharpeners with a handle, and a little V-shaped grove at the end, with smoth stone lining the grove... Are those good?
@GardenCalifornia Hi Melissa, Those brick type stone sharpeners are available at hardware stores over here. You need to get the knife sharp first & only use the steel to keep the knife sharp. I'm not sure about the ones your talking about. I guess there's heaps on the market. I find the stone best & the steel to touch up the knife. Take care Melissa. cheers from Jeff.
