They sounded alright. Roth back on stage again years later. I wasn't feelin it though. I see Roth more of a one man Vega show singing. He sounds way better in studio. I've seen enough VH with Sammy Hagar and the stage is more vibrant sounding. Eddie still sounded O.K. but their sound is better with Sammy and Mike Anthony. The drums sound better and the ladies look happier and outgoing.

Thank goodness I didn't go to this gig and waste my hard-earned money. When I go see a band, I want to really enjoy the show. I don't want to see the band I paid to see perform their own original song like they're a cover band. It's nice to see Wolfgang dress for the occasion. He looks like he's getting ready to go to school in his "play clothes". I'm disappointed too that David Lee Roth couldn't come out on stage wearing something that's bright, colorful and interesting. What a terrible video!

No. Eddie fired him. Two things facilitated EVH's decision: One, he didn't appreciate Michael's friendship with Sammy, i.e., playing with Sammy's band prior to Chickenfoot (collaborating with the enemy, more or less), Two, he wanted to play with his own son, and saw this as a opportunity to push Mike out, and bring Wolfie in. (And no...it's not the same without Michael Anthony.)

Saw this tour in DC, we had side stage seats. It was a different concert experience. It wasn't exactly like seeing a concert - from that vantage point it was more like watching a band put on a concert. It was also watching a Dad teach a son how to be a rock star - I watched Eddie showing his son how to jump and play at the same time. Valerie was about 5 rows in front of me with her new BF, which is kind of sad. Eddie/Valerie/Wolfie should be a family.

There are some good songs with Sammy, but overall their greatest success was with Dave, and thats how they are going to be remembered best. It's only fitting that Dave is back in the band, because VH was going absolutely nowhere with Sammy, and Dave was going nowhere solo. Dave and Van Halen go together like peanut butter & jelly. Hope they stay together, I think if they split again, they can put an end to whatever music careers.

I'm a Hagar fan. I have been to Cabo San Lucas and met Sammy. I saw this show with my wife last month in Cleveland and was surprised off my ass that Dave pulled off a show without looking cheesy, and they sounded REALLY good.
