  • Nice video man..I watch a lot of your videos they are all great..I have an smd18 as well ..how long will the sub take 10k for..I want to do 10k on it daily this year

  • Ultimate groundpounder

  • what are the songs you use

  • dude that is sick im gonna run 2 stetsom 14k2d's in my ride 1 per dc level 5 18.....glad to know they won't come apart on something over 8k each

  • Comment removed

  • @drduke1984 , Just remember...these are Ascendant Audio SMD's...NOT DC level 5's. The DC's are great subwoofers, but they don't have the cooling capacities of the SMD's and they are a 3" voice coil sub, this means they aren't going to take 8k for any length of time. But if your building a burp machine, you'll most likely get a little higher #'s out of the DC's. Just don't use my SMD's as a comparison when it's on music...cause' you WILL see the MAGIC white smoke with the DC's ;)

  • @drduke1984 and they will die hard...

  • hey bro...great video nice woofer...what is the volume von the box......liter???

  • mic rape! luv it!!

  • What ohm are you running them at?

  • @658hazza658, these were wired down to .35 per amp ;)

  • how did you go to 1 22" to 2 18"

  • @warmaster5128 actually he went from one 22" to SIX 18"... and what do you mean how did he go from 1 22" to 2 18"? he tool out the 22" and stuck in 2 18"s pretty simple

  • @warmaster5128 like jesse said he went to 6 18's but even i he had go from one 22 to two 18's 1x22'' = 22'' of woofer 2x18'' 36 inches of air moving material :D :P 6x18 :O total of 108" haha :P ofcourse there are people who even step it up more then that haha just cramming a van full of subs :P

  • @qwertyxf You don't just add up the inches for surface area. Example 1 18" has more cone area than 2 12". You wouldn't think so but it's true.

  • @LetThatBassDr0p yes that is true cone area:

    One 8" = 50.27

    One 10" = 78.54

    One 12" = 113.1

    One 15" = 176.71

    One 18" = 254.47

  • @jesseadkins187 thats not totally true because you have to subtract the surround which can be slightly different on each woofer. But yes that can be used as a general rule of thumb.

  • @LetThatBassDr0p ohw ok good to know :P

  • way too much bass

  • @sportcar1234567 no such thing...

  • @jesseadkins187 ya there is i like to hear the song thats playing

  • @sportcar1234567 , I can hear the song just fine...but when I want people 4 blocks away to hear the song...well, I just turn shit up ;)

  • @rocketboy1000rr ok if u say so

  • @sportcar1234567 just cause you cant hear it through the camera doesnt mean u cant hear it in person the sound pressure is over whelming the mic thats why it sounds like shit through the camera it doesnt sound anything CLOSE to this in person trust me loud and clear

  • @jesseadkins187 i trust u

  • @jesseadkins187 I love car audio but I think 12's are more efficient as far as needing power to them, I remember hearing 18's in person and they sound sloppy, as well as 15's. I think RocketBoy1000rr's system is bangin, I just don't understand why people always want 18's? Is it an acquired taste?

  • @iTzMeChucky . Trust me when I say these do not sound sloppy. Possibly the 18's you heard were in a enclosure that was too big or maybe they just were not powered correctly? I DO agree that a great all around subwoofer is the 12", but when you have as much space to fill and pressurize...the 18's fit the bill better;)

  • @rocketboy1000rr oh, Yeah I went to a car show in Texas and these guys had scion with 2 18's and only 3000watts, I showed them my setup with only 1 12 and they were trying to figure out how I got it so loud with only 1500 clean watts. I guess im just a 12 guy lol, maybe ill step it up to a 15 one day.

  • @iTzMeChucky ive heard this theory numorus times and i kinda understand what your saying but sounding sloppy? how does that really sound cause ive heard bad ass 18" setups and have heard bad ass 12" setups and they both sounded good but if u put a 12" vs an 18" the 18 will MORE than likey stomp it same vehicle same style box.. same power obviously more cone area thou

  • @iTzMeChucky its a penis extension

    \

  • @ILLTOWN420, what's wrong with that?

  • @rocketboy1000rr nothing what so ever i am addicted to bass

  • @ILLTOWN420 , Hell Yeah!

  • @rocketboy1000rr yah been following you since the jackhammer days, you do really good work man, you definitely have one of the loudest systems on youtube, keep it up

  • @ILLTOWN420 , Thanks man!! I'm gonna be doing even bigger and better things for this year, stay tuned!!

  • lol 7600 a sub. that means when those things are barley movin theres seein like 3k!

  • I seen smd subs in person n the guy that had them had it one smd 18" on a sundown 3500 n the sub barely moved. this guy with the dual 9k amps got these subs rocking in that setup. good shit bro.

  • @tayofva , the sundown dude may not have had his wired down far enough, these GET DOWN on 3500 watts. Check out my 6-18's video and you can see them workin' off around 4K each.

These took 7-8K with no problem for hours ;)

  • @goatskindreams ? lol alright buddy if you say so i have 18s too... but i dont have two dc 9ks... im only 19 hommie but for the price of those two smds he could have got 4 FI BTLS!

  • @Lauziere1 , yeah I would have done 4 btl 18's, but there aint' room for 4 with batteries in the rear, and I can't throw 7500+ watts to the BTL's for very long without the magic white smoke showin' up...

  • @Lauziere1 (899)each
