hehe i have a welsh A too and she carries my 3 lil bros they all weight about 80lbs each and she carries them all at once and i weight 168 and i do cross country with her once in awhile she loves it and the vet cheaks her out all the time shes in mint condisition

don't worry, your fine on the pony & ur a great rider :) none od these people could stay on a bucking and rearing pony even if they tried!! If u dont believe me check my profile name, im a very experienced rider, even though im only 12, and i have a pony just the same size and my mom rides her. You r perfect on her, dont worry!!! <3

Stfu you haters. Sam is a brilliant rider and I know that she would never do anything that puts her ponies in danger. You don't know her or Pepsi whatsoever so how can you judge her?

Sam is an amazing owner and any pony would be lucky to have her, you're all just spoilt brats who's parents buy everything for them. Sam isn't at all like you who think you know everything. She treats all her horses with amazing care and isn't a snob.

Sam knows what's best for her ponies

Oh yeah thats right im a pony abuser! ;) thats why she does it to everyone that rides her(yes even people that fit). Also you might want to say that to my vet or back lady that visits regulally, who have both said that it is perfectly fine. Oh and if you know the slightest about breeds and horses then you would know that welsh mountian ponies were bread to carry their weight in height (per stone). As Pepsi is 11.2hh and im not 11.2 stone, im fine :)

Luv this pony! No need to shorten ur stirrups, u ride her brilliantly. Like many underused ponies, wen she is naughty this is what she does but most of the time she is perfect. U have a nice, balanced, independant seat, & v kind hands which are the most important things. Having been teaching for over 20yrs i hav seen many who would have been on the floor :)

i know, i did but they were pushing my body forwards, and because she bucks more then rears, my body went even further fowards.

my mum told me to lengthen them.

and 6/8 holes would be too much...

well if it's to the point that your toes are ponting down half the time, and you're reaching for your stirrups.....6 holes would probably not be too much.

and if you were to shorten your stirrups, you could actually wrap your leg around your pony, keep your thighs and calves on, and her little bucks would be nothing.

BUUUT that's just my opinion.
