For those 'lovin-on' Gov. Arnold, just remember the CA has a LOUSY credit rating as a state, and Obama is also spending money he doesn't have. Arnold can't boast about 'responsibility' and then also buy into the 'Kenyan strategy' of raiding the Treasury that we see from Obama. One can admire Arnold for wanting 'real' solutions to structural CA problems. But does he settle instead?? One admires reform of 'the system'. But a) 'funny money' spending is NO solution. b) he has to FIGHT the NEA, etc.

Hey Arnold, The 7th most powerful "country" in the world is now a 3rd rate banana republic ruined by a corrupt government & a bankrupt economy. I'm not blaming you singularly, as you've had plenty of help but it is disappointing to have a governor that pretends to represent a populist movement do nothing more than be a mouthpiece for the corporate masters. Cutting essential social welfare services and decimating the public educational system is just icing on the "let them eat" cake, isn't it?

I absolutely agree. I would also add that we need to stop schools from spending frivolously just because they have extra money. New books should come every 3-5 years instead of every year. Even in fields that change constantly like math or science, the changes aren't so huge that new books are needed to explain those changes in anything below college level...
