  • The legend of Muboraksho lives on...thanks for introducing his work to Iranian audiences, so much better for his legacy and those idiots (i assume they are from Tajikistan) who are foaming at the mouth here about copyright zip your lip. Attaboys Kios lads - you are officially my favorite Iranian band - I just loved your creativity, not only did you not butcher the song, you have given it a new charm with the Perso-Armenian video motifs - well done!!! Tashakure ziyod.

  • @kimranchik First of all you are an idiot if you calling Tajik people with that word. Just write that they are wrong. You have no rights to write this words to your stupid comment. This music is amazing. It came from Tajikistan and we are not calling others like plagiarizers for doing that. Some people just don't did wrong when wrote that they copied. And by the way I don't care about you assume. Any questions ?

  • does someone has the lyrics for this?

  • wow that was a good use of images from one of the best movies ever (directed by Sergei Parajanov, former Soviet Armenia) and cover of one of the best Tajik hit songs (written and performed originally by Muboraksho Mazabshoev, former Soviet Tajikistan). I like how Iranians remade the song - very creative.

  • fantastic!

  • ...anyone who likes his voice check out some of his works he is genious in the way that he makes musics-he is both singer and writer-in a unique way .

as other member has said it is persian END OF STORY! BUT it is not really important.

afghans ,tajiks, iranians,s language has same origine ,just modification has occured naturally by time .

no one is better than other nation.the only factor that determines who is better is the basic values such as respecting other nations..

  • the singers are iranian ,the language is farsi.

you can easily google the name of kiosk and most importantly the background singer-mohsen namjoo

and you will find out all are iranian .

namjii is very famous for his innovations in persian music i suggest anyone..

  • isn't this pakistani?

  • The Color of Pomegranates by Sergei Parajanov (Soviet Union, 1968). Mostafa was inspired by this film and the fact that the song " ey

  • hich chizi az herfeiha kam nadare . Afarin besyar khoob

  • Wow what a beautiful song... This is an amazing video. Well done... very Persian!!!!

  • @arinajooni The only thing Persian is the song the film and actors are Russian from the movie ????? go find out ?????

  • @deansusky Yes I did find later that the color of pomegranate actually is Armenian from 1968 motion picture by the Soviet Armenian director Sergei Parajanov. But no one can deny that it is Persian inspired....Persian writing, clothing, motive, rugs, decor and colors.

  • @arinajooni I think the point is that there is no such thing as "authentic" Armani or Farsi culture. In fact there are lots of shared cultural tropes between all people from Greece to Afghanistan. Same clothes, same food, same melodies...

  • @Redjavaad i feel like that would have to do with the persian empire, i think russia comes in the mix too

  • @arinajooni are u dumb? when they were making the video they were thinking about the decorate... when the band is persian they decorate as persian not other countries!

  • @arinajooni and crosses and churches - all persian inspired. as for writing, don't you use arabic yourselves?

  • @arinajooni Well said!

  • @arinajooni I'd rather say it's from the same cultural region as Persia, but who knows...

  • Clipesh kheyli khob bod:.Kolan ham az ahang lezat bordam ham az in clipe mahshaarrr ....

    everytime i watch it

it just .... i dont fucking know but its like its full of hidden saitanic shit

  • hanooz sarvarim to donya be khoda

  • its just amazin damet gharm arash

  • This is modern composition of an old persian song which is one of the 100's dialects of persian language:

  • scheiss

  • har chi ke hast Videoclip kheyli jalabi dareh.

  • I liked this song very much. Kiosk did really great!! The video is brilliant. I think Muboraksho would have loved this version. Just for information: There is tajik badakhshan and afghan badakhshan. It used to be one territory which was divided about 100 years ago. This particualr song comes from Badakhshan in Tajikistan and was the hit of the 90-ies.

  • weird song

  • ya khoda....chi zadeh, damet garm, az tarafe bachehaye abadan

  • The Original is aN Afghan song...,,Badachschan,, is a province in Afghanistan

  • @kalakata In surudi tajiki ast in Badakhshani Tajikistan ast

  • @kalakata In surudi Tajiki ast na afghani In Badakhshani Tajikistan ast

  • @TheXxxx10 YOu just couldn't enjoy the music but bring the racist crap here..

  • @TheXxxx10 so what is tajikstani is it any thing but persian .so bt it thank you

  • @TheXxxx10

It's a folkloric Afghan song from the province of Badakhshan. The song was sung by Mubarakshah too, a Tajik singer who was a fan of Afghan music. He sang a series of other much-praised Afghan songs as well, mostly songs of Ahmad Zahir.

  • @kalakata shoma afghania ham ke hamechio mikhayn be name khodetoon konin =))

  • good done, i like it very much. INNOVATION

  • as above so below

  • @Seniium No, this is a great Soviet actress Sofiko Chiaureli who played several roles in this movie. In this video she plays both a poet (a beautiful young man) and his beloved.

  • Wow, what a beat.

  • Meanwhile, this song is in a Tajiki movie

  • beautiful song!

this song sounds like Afghan songs; especially when he said Badakhshan, it made me think of Afghanistan :)

  • @unitedAryan it is an afghan song I've heard it many times by many of our singers because its a old traditional song

  • Beautiful song and rendition... but why do you have to kill the chicken??

  • Very nice, thanks!

  • I like the video clip more than the song!! who ever made this, must be very talented!

  • Stumbled upon Kiosk today. Then went to iTunes and bought two albums. Love it. Thank you.

  • The song is GREAT and absolute. The video clip is nice for the most part but PLEASE get the bloody rooster out of it. It is irrelevant and takes away from the beauty of the video clip. You can relay sadness in other ways You do not need to kill the rooster......it takes away from it

  • thank you so much

  • Great Job!

  • Badakhshan is in Afghanistan, not Tajikistan. But it dosent matter, the song is nice, and I diiigggg it !!!

  • @omiiid Part of Badakhshan is in Tajikistan.

  • Cool but long song ...using cinematic parajanov's works looks unnecessary/unfit for this song

  • @Absolutely131

I beg to differ.. the film clips add a tasteful ethnic authenticity & most of all, a subversive edge to the song- the beat, the bass line is upbeat but heavy & on pulse.. his voice's scratchiness & emotional weight & the familiar tribal simplicity of the words make it a palpably organic mixture.. sets one in a bitter sweet trance much like that underlying sensation when one is in love.. & can't stop thinking about it.. bitter sweet happy & sad.. ecstatic!

  • It has actually nothing to do with modern Iran, but with one of the armenian poets - Sayat-Nova (Armenian: Սայաթ-Նովա; Azerbaijani: سید‌ نوا; Persian: سید‌ نوا; Georgian: საიათ-ნოვა) (born 14 June 1712, Tiflis (during the Soviets Tbilisi in Georgia) – died 22 September 1795, Haghpat), meaning 'King of Songs' in Persian, was the name given to the Armenian poet and ashik Harutyun Sayatyan.

  • @bgabei since when armenians speak Farsi?

  • @bgabei whaaat this song is an old traditional song from afghanistan badaghshan region

  • You have to see this wonderful film by Sergei Parajanov - The Color of pomegranates 1968 (the former Soviet Union - Armenia (Цвет граната / Саят-Нова (Сергей Параджанов) [1968 г., притча, DVD9] [Kino Video, NTSC 4:3]. The original Armenian title of the film is Sayat-Nova.

The language of symbols - it's just amazing!!!

  • del darooom bia

  • Take an old popular folk song that people have loved thru the ages, do not change the melody or the lyrics, add disco beat and other effects from American songs from 30 yrs ago, and sing it with terrible rough and screechy voice. Btw, make sure, you sing it out of tune. True innovation!
