I wonder if the music for this was inspired by Bathory's song "Day of Wrath". If you listen to the end of the chorus they sound very similar. Anyway, thanks for posting! Best gaming music ever!

@HereticElitesUnite No. The song this was inspired by is Dies Irae, which inspired the Bathory song and is also Latin for Day of Wrath. The song's been around since the 13th century and has been used in a lot of songs.

@Grygnax Yeah, I was aware of this. We studied the emergence of Gregorian chant and the significance of Christianity and Latin masses of the earlier centuries in the Humanities class I was enrolled in last semester. We also studied both Verdi's and Mozart's "Dies Irae". I checked out the actual Gregorian chant itself but none of these included the melody I was talking about. But the significance of "Dies Irae" is actually very fitting for this level, though. Thanks for reminding me 8)
