Riding the Bus from Belize-city to the Mexican border

My wife, who is Belizean, and I recently traveled to Belize. It was my first trip to Belize and we rode the bus from Belize City to Punta Gorda. It takes about 6 hours but there was some amazing scenery. Dangriga (Garifuna), Belmopan (the capital), mountains, banana plantations, Mennonite country, Maya Indian villages, and finally the coastal town of Punta Gorda. I look forward to returning and exploring more of the ruins and the northern part of the country.

@jehadorn Belize is really a beautiful country, it is not my favorite when it comes to the mentality of the locals, though. Nevertheless I have been there 5-6 times or so and I always enjoyed my stay. Thanks for sharing your experience.

i am a belizean...and i have been on those buses before...its not the most comfortable ride ever but if ur a tourist this is part of experiencing bze and if ur gonna explore a country u shud do things the way the locals do
