Why on earth would you leave Florida for South Bend? Can't be the climate, and it sure can't be for economic reasons---South Bend has been in decline since Studebaker went out of business around 1966. Reminds me too much of Buffalo, once a great city but now in permanent decline.
@Cubatraveler The people of South Bend are fantastic, warm and friendly...lots of history...and nanotechnology is moving into town. Best of all, I grew up there and dese be my peoples! I speaks dey lingo.
Off Lincolnway for sure! This segment at one time was freight only. I still remember the electric Baldwins and GE "Little Joe's" running through here. I also rode the SS into downtown SB the summer before they cut it back to Bendix.

I love the south shore train. I like riding it and next friday, at 4:18, im getting a video of it passing the Credit Union. or Ardmore and Bendix.

My dad works at koontz-wagner, which is only a few blocks from here. There is also the barber shop we use(I stopped cutting my hair) and the vet.
