  • Lol. When I practiced it the last time, I fall asleep.. is that how it works?

  • Its almost 2 in the morning here and I'm trying to meditate and I think it is working. But I can't tell if it is working, or if I'm just tired and slowly falling asleep xD

  • Very very new to meditating as a matter of fact this my first time ever meditating, or learning to, but the answer to this seems a simple one it realley depends on our ability to focus out the rest of ourselves only when we empty our mind, thoughts, of ourselves can we get there so let's see how long it takes me to calm my mind. The journey should be long for me as I've lived quite a troubled life filled terrible experiances that need to be weaved out of my thought process!

  • I tried doing this. It took me a while to fully calm my thoughts, but when I did my brain began to feel all tingly. This scared me and I snapped out of it. Is this supposed to happen?

  • Exact meaning of mediation to calm down your mind ,to avoid distraction from a lot thoughts,  Don't close your eyes coz out of 10 time 9 times u fall asleep so eyes should be half closed and half open as Buddha himself does, let the light comes into your eyes so that u don't fall asleep.Others are correct way of doing , concentrate on your breathing and count upto 10 and come back until you are calm n relax.

    Hi Joey, Sure, insomnia is when a person has difficult falling asleep &staying asleep. Either due to outside influences &many varying factors...it's where a person cant fall asleep & have a normal and healthy sleep pattern. Staying up at all hours, lying in your bed but cant ever fall asleep etc..Some people stay awake almost around the clock. Here's Webster's dictionary meaning of it >prolonged and usually abnormal inability to get enough sleep . Hope this answer helped! :)

  • i also find it weird how when you come back from it takes like a while to think again or even having bad thoughts or even process the voices around you which i find really weird but really good to relieve stress or any bad thoughts u have after and you kind of feel good and calm and relaxed after all of it and you feel like your happy but you dont know why which is really strange but cool all at the same time:o)

  • after you finish from your meditation, it is advisable to take few minutes to assimilate the energies, the insights etc...you may want to take the time to write your experience or ideas or lessons or visions etc...you will need them later. blessings, pranagold

    the first few are people the rest are books highly highly recommend these. The best advice i can give about your thoughts, is dont pay attention to them and pay attention to your breath FEEL it.

  • @R341ITY123 what you do and put in your mind when your not meditating will come while you're meditating. I rarely listen to music now because it disturbs my mind. I find that tranquil living is a much more refined type of happiness then indulging in sensory pleasures. I hope this helps.
