当時9-10歳だった小生も欧州流の垢抜けたデザイン・設計で高速安定性重視の同車にメロメロに痺れ、コロナやブルーバードのバンカラな設計とは一線を画する面に「マツダならではの哲学」を感じた次第です。
ところが現実にはこのカペラ、全く売れず日増しに俗化していく、対してコロナやブルーバードは破竹の勢いで売れていく―まさに「悪貨は良貨を駆逐する」を地で行った図式だと思います！

Certainly fits in the European scene and makes an impression with nice standards of comfort speed and convenience! Beats what Europe can make in terms of cars and does well over here!

Like today's mazda6, 626 had the european market in mind. Wow it can overtake a citroen!
