  • You are a great teacher.. thank you so much for breaking this old classic down for all of us that want to learn it... I love the jazzy version.. if other people don't like it., they can find other versions of this tune elsewhere on here... but in my opinion this one of the best... keep them coming!

  • @sj122s Thank you so much!

  • i really like this arrangement, but theres not actually a pdf to this one, right?

  • @robau84 I have it with a bunch more. Mainly been sending these for a donation in any amount.

  • It's really good ! Please can you tell me where can I found the tab ? in thestrubgery, I don't know where is the tab, from who ?

    Thank you !

  • How do you add these tabs into you videos?

  • hello!! the music sheet that I have by Gershwin is very different. Is this another version? thank you

  • @danlovesnan Yes, it's a different version. Thanks!

  • Hey man. Love this arrangement and all your uploads. One thing though: Are you sure about that Em7-F#m7? Sounds a little off to me. That said, I haven't been able to come up with anything I like more.

  • thanks a lot i learned so much from you

  • @v3war2 You're welcome! Thanks!

  • was trying to find a way to play this on keyboard but came across this video....love it ur really good!!

  • @DootwithaFlootTV Cool! Thanks!

  • What guitar is that?

  • @azlarz Etude LaPatrie.

  • loved it!

but this is for E , right? I play it on Dm, so the correct thing would be to transpose this solo and start from the 3rd fret instead of 5th ?

  • @PedroLoyola Thanks! It's in G major playing over Am7 II chord.

  • Great sounding arrangement, but I have a question. Why is it necessary to do a barré like you do, and not just a normal one finger full barré?

  • @MarcBeckK The Am7 chord? Thanks!

  • @Sawlon You mention at 7:15 that you do "jazz fingering" instead of just a barré. I just misunderstood it, you clearly mean your right hand, I just thought your barré looked weird, I don't support my index finger with any other fingers.

  • Thanks so much for this awesome Summertime arrangement. I am doing an open mic with my daughter on vocals and was looking for a jazzy arrangement for this song. Thanks again...oh don't worry about the hair...I am going to check out your other stuff...take care Sharon

  • @bearadina Thanks!

  • Nice one, Thanks

  • @SavoPaddy Thanks!

  • On my work computer I could see the Tabs, but now that I'm at home, the tabs aren't showing up. How do I fix this? (Other than bringing my guitar to work and playing at lunch)

  • hello, a great lesson this is. I just wanted to ask about the part you played at the very end. Was that a song or something you made up at the moment? It sounds pretty cool.

  • Thanks!

I have a lesson on that somewhere. I think it's called jazz progression. I'll see if I can find it.

  • yeah that little part at the end sounded cool, is it a song or somthing?id like to also learn that. haha great job btw

  • one of my favorite videos

  • I like this, Sir! Cool blue, Thanks again.

  • What model guitar is that? It looks and sounds really nice!

  • a pearl.

    don´t need no teacher.

  • Willie Nelson?! Or are you his brother?

  • I'm his brother Villie!

  • Amazing song. Thank you for sharing man

  • are you Willie nelson's brother?

  • @alexman18 you mean his son, surely? ;)

  • I like this arrangement but I can't help but notice that the tab contradicts what you play. After the D9 the second time round you slide into the 7th fret on the 5th string but the tab says the 6th string. This little passage is tabbed one string lower than you play/explain. Am I wrong?

    Good video though!

  • Thanks my brother!

    I think I fixed it.

    Dave

  • That's the one. Now I just need to learn to play it!

    Thank you.

  • Thanks for your dedication!

  • great job Dave

  • COME ON! Whoever you are you will be able to play this wonderfully simple arrangement very well explained. Stop surfing and get playing. I'm rubbish but got it really quickly - good luck friends.

  • This is a very welcome lesson. The chords are do-able for most people and the arrangement swings just like it should. Thanks.

  • mito!!

  • I heard Laurendo Almaeda in the end.

  • Great videos. But I suggest that you don't explain each string and fret your playing. I would just show the tab on the screen and then play the part slowly a few times over. This way we can hear it and play along.

  • O.K. for you shadyb1, but we all don't read tabs and need the details like it is.

  • This one is a keeper for sure!

    Excellent... and thanks!

  • This is great. Really helpful. Thank you!

  • Thanks a lot, great teaching, very clear and understandable!

  • great lesson. imo your the best on the web....many thanks for your great work ....john

  • thank you so much! you are a great teacher!

  • what a teacher, what skill!

  • Perfect. I am going to get busy with this tonight after work.
