  • Oh I see I hope you didn't think I was been ignorant .its just I'm desighning my own bike and side car I also will have problems holding myself on bike seat but I am hoping to desighn a frame I can slot in around me once I am on the bike to hold me upright .a couple of leg straps to hold my legs .but its still on the drawing board at the moment . rest assured I will feel the freedom only a bike can give once again .

  • wouldn't it be possible to transfer from the chair in the side car to the seat of the bike and just use the side car as a way of transporting your wheelchair with you .

  • @blobby1972 I wish I could, but I don't have the strength to get on the bike and I don't have the balance to stay on the bike. They make sidecars that are able to lean with the bike and I wish I could use one because I miss the leaning into corners. BAD!!! Keep watching and pass it on to anyone in a wheelchair.

  • @blobby1972 @blobby1972 It would depend on his level of strength and mobility. He would have to be strong enough in his upper body to transfer himself from his chair to the motorcycle seat and get his left leg over the seat to the other side. Motorcycles are made though, that you can just drive a wheelchair right up into, and lock in and go. The company that makes them is Mobility Conquest.

  • It looks so weird seeing that thing on the road.

But i'm glad that you, like me, never gave up riding!

Check me out at PepeFlower on you tube.

    Respect to you,

  • @PepeFlower Sorry for the delay, Your bike has a lot of hard work in it and it looks great. I used to be a collision repair man (body man)and I can appreciate the time, energy, determination that went into your bike. AWESOME. kEEP RIDING and GOD BLESS

  • I must say this like its a blast .great video.

  • Awesome man very very awesome

  • Wow, awesome, it looks really cool. I am a C5/6 Quads and I had a motorcycle accident back in 2003 but I still loves the sport and I always wonder if it was still possible, I guess I found my answer. Do you know if a company will actually produce a wheelchair bike one day?

    Thanks,

    Yannik

  • dude that's so awesome!

  • Great idea ,one question how do you reverse?I have tyo build one and get my butt back on faster wheels and get independant again.

  • I park carefully or rely on family, friends, and kind strangers if I have to. I do what ever I have to to keep riding. I am blessed.

  • Thanks for the info. It is licensed and insured as a regular 750 Honda motorcycle because there was a little confusion when I first got it. When I hit 95 or anytime I do something "NOT so bright" I'm always riding solo. I just love to ride.

  • BUD, Griffin Park is in Los Angeles. Did you have much trouble with your states Motor Vehicle Dept. getting your rig street-worthy? When ya hit 95mph. with it did you have their examiner on the bike proper? Any video of THAT experience? GOD BLESS!

  • hi this is derek i used to go to coyo this video says you can do anything no matter what gets in way keep rolin mr.Byer

  • I LOVE this bike. Would you be willing to sell it or know where I could buy one? It looks like it would be a blast to drive.

  • That is way kool, keep on riding ... I know you have already viewed " Interview w/ owner of Harley Davidson and "Custom wheelchair Harley Motorcyle" ... My boyfriend also has the exact same bike as you have , it is dark green ... still rides both... Take Care...

  • Thanks. This was also dark green when I bought it 19 years ago. It was rough so we had to paint it. I would love to get a bunch of these bikes togeter for a ride.

  • delbert, saw the video...you need to get momma to video you while you are riding so that people can see it rollin

    dilbert

  • haha yes watched it...it sucked....jkjk love you buddy

  • hi ed..this is stan the quad with a similar ride..wanted to ask you how easy is the stering o work..im thinkin bout the sam st up on my crotch rocket sidecar...oh and how fast will your hondamatic go top speed....best wishes ed.

  • I always tell people it stears like an old Volkswagen Bug. It's not power steering so you need some strength. I bought the steering box out of a racing catalog. The fastest I have gone in it is 95 mph and it gets a little squirly. I wish it could go faster.

How can I see your bike?

  • Oh, and nice bike! Looks like you did a great job modifying it to fit your needs.

  • I bought the bike 19-20 yrs ago from another quadriplegic and the sidecar was already attached. We have since put the faring, paint, a little chrome, and some other modifications. I also had to change bikes after 10-11 yrs. The first one was wore out. IT'S FUN !!!

  • Great video! I think it's great that there are people like us out there that don't let our disabilities get in the way of having fun!

  • Very cool! BUT, I know that road and isn't the speed limit like 45!!!! Slow down a little kiddo! :)

  • Once a SPEED JUNKY always a Speed JUNKY. My wife and mom don't like that part of me, but my daughters do.

  • Oh my goodness, now our old house is famous too! Thanks for a great visit. The Pesky Old Neighbors think you are cute too! Ha! Are we creepin' you out???? Love to the whole family!!! D, A, R, and B

  • Thanks for the love and goofiness. Keep in touch and pass this video onto anybody that might be interested.
