I have that same shark, and the valves on his fins are easy to pop out, the way I do it is by putting both thumbs together, and using your fingers to get your thumbs under the valve and push it out. when his air pressure high, the vinyl will stretch a little, but i don't let my fingernails touch his skin, therefore no risk of cutting him open. Just thought maybe I'd tell ya a different way.
