I love how Mortin tries to run for his life and gets pulled back in the trojan dog. The cats like, your not going nowhere. lol. He's like, "Hey Ralph, gettin outta here!!!" lol. After that, Ralph continues to say, "Ow ow ow". lol
In unrelated news, does anyone remember the looney tunes cartoon where a kid broke a window with a baseball, was punished, and had dreams of fighting out of space monsters and such. I'd really like to see them again.
@suspekt29 I was trying to explain that one to someone the other day. Wasn't his name Ralphie? Would be sitting in school, daydream into an explorer or jet fighter.
@lonemapper YOU ROCK!!! I can't even tell you how many years I have been trying to find an answer. I couldn't even remember a name. I was able to take what said and came up with Ralph Phillips. There are a ton of cartoons on Youtube.
Can we get the first two minutes of the picture? I found this short complete in another file, but it's a cell phone download that looks simply terrible.
@gaelicviking - Butler's Ralph Crumbden voice would later be used for the short-lived "Windy" bear character of Walter Lantz cartoons (as in Windy & Breezy, whose first film - the Woody Woodpecker short "Fodder and Son" [1957] - preceded the creation of Yogi & Boo Boo by a year).
@wmbrown6 And as someone pointed out on another board, Daws Butler also took over for Bill Thompson after he (Thompson) died - and did a spot-on impression of him as well.

Daws Butler was most famous for being the voice of " Tony the Tiger ", for Kelloggs Frosted Flakes.

@braymanj Actually, Thurl Ravenscroft (RIP) was Tony the Tiger.

Martin sounds more like Yogi Bear and less like Ed Norton.
evan22303 2 years ago
You mean that yogi bear sounds like Ed Norton.
socalcraigster 2 years ago
The reason is because:
1. The Ed Norton character is voiced by Daws Butler, who did the voice of Yogi in the classic cartoon days.
2. Yogi's voice and characterization were actually based on Art Carney's depiction of Ed Norton.
