Here, we BUY pigs that have already been killed (let me explain for you, sounds like you need it - HOT DOGS) . here, they give them the chance to keep it as a pet, sell it, or eat it. completely humane and almost a better idea for most civilized countries, though we'd rather not go through with all the trouble. and you should put more effort into what you're telling me, cuz your last comment told me nothing at all

I can see how this would be beneficial in another culture, but it is a little upsetting to see the pigs in distress. Also since the people can take them home and do "whatever they want" with the pigs is also upsetting. But I could see in another culture that pigs aren't pets or to be treated like humans would be, they're for money and eating.

Slaughterhouses kill in the most humane way which is first knocking the animals unconscious and then killing them, those people who brought them home probably also killed them in a slightly humane way. Anyways pig's are some damn tasty animals!
