@Janice11353  In rough seas, keep the boat into the water and it will act like a regular trimaran. The hydrofoil fins can be retracted to reduce drag and to allow relatively high speed without going into hydrofoil mode. If the sea is really bad, low speed (reduced sail) and fins extended for extra stability.

I wonder what will happen if you placed a rigid wing sail as on the BMW oracle on a Hydrofoil boat such as the Hydroptere?

@guitarific There are probably some weight issues. The wing that the oracle guys used weighed more than 7500 lbs. The additional trim control might be worth it though...
