  • John was just as cool before he became 'famous'. Watching him gamble was awesome. In Reno I saw him beat the kid who rents the tables out of 80 or 100$ in something like12 tries of a prop. bet. (I think the bet allowed 40 or 50 tries). He did take the kids money, then gave the best J.Schmidt quote ever.

"Don't gamble with me. I'm the devil."

  • @Blingarella I remember the first time I met John.. in the mid to late 90's he came through our town and left with a pocket full of cash. A really nice guy and even better gambler. He tortured our guys. =)

  • @californiagil John is very competitive & you're right: a very good gambler. He plays hard for the cash but also for the pride. We matched up at 14.1 (he gave 2 shots to his 1, race to 200) I was feeling pretty good after a couple decent back to back runs and was ahead 91-46. He was playing fast & loose, telling war stories the whole time and ran 154 and out, lol.

  • @MrPoolBum That sounds like a nice run! again Thanks for posting these, very cool.

  • Gettin' nosy here but what would a 1 on 1 consult with John run??

  • This week long coaching session was 5 or 6 years ago and before he won the US Open. Really, I wouldn't have any idea what he's charging or even if he would consider giving lessons now. Next time I talk to him I'll try to remember to ask,

  • nice run out and video , keep em coming .....internetpoolhall DRAGON !
