  • Ahh Memories. What a brilliant band!

  • bass line

  • still sounds good after what, 32 years..?

  • Roll on Glasgow 05 Nov , this band was light years ahead of the pack and still are....

  • The great MAGAZINE....LOVE Back to Nature.

  • ; )

  • GREAT SONG !!

  • Just listen to Harold.

  • Absolutely brilliant album! Epic!

  • i am going to see them at Wolverhampton. Joyous music. Hope you are happy John wherever you are.

  • @CONSIDERABLYMORE1 Lucky you. I saw them at Wolverhampton Poly (as it was then) back in 1978. I completely missed them this time round (as an old fart I don't get out much these days, but I would have dragged myself off the sofa to see them again).

  • So cool.

  • Man what a great song. I'm still fond of it.

  • The vocal melody of the verses is very close to "Betters Ways" by one of the Alan Jourgensen's (Ministry) side project 1000 Homo Dj's.

  • My Tulpa, second track.

    You always clench your fists

When my shadow falls upon your hands......

  • Unbelieveable catchy.

  • Takes me back to my early teens. Genius :-)

  • Ah, Mcgeogh's saxophone! This is my youth, right here!

  • My deepest respects to dave Formula who, along with Colin Moulding of XTC rank amongst the greatest artesans of late 70ies music.

His choice of sounds and musical architecture always teases and pleases me.

    Gracias from Buenos Aires.

  • this melody is in my head disturbingly frequently

  • Wow i needed something to get me up this morning ... and this is it. X

  • must be played at a party. loud.

  • Fantastic song

    Magazine rule forever!!

  • I think Magazine have to be the the most EXCELLENT semi-unacknowledged BRILLIANT band that ever existed. You wait... in a couple of years they will be lauded from the frickin rooftops.... just like the V Underground and Zombies before 'em. How come this heart/head food has slipped us by? Well,no more. Spread the word!

  • @simleybaton They are the same league as likewise british The God Machine who has written the best rock ballad ever, The blind man. Just like them, Magazine aren't always SONIC, they just don't care to make everything harmonic. Genius, yes but the hit potential gets lost when you don't streamline the soundscape. I had a band with a similar style back in 90's way before I heard Magazine, or anything else similar to our band, and we were quite a show, but carreer was no option. Krossad Sammet.

  • @simleybaton

    Indeed.

  • PURE/ UN-FUCKING-ADULTERED GENIUS!!!! Magazine INVADED my brain at the tender age of 12 and has always been there as one of the most CREATIVE THINGS I have EVER fucking EXPERIENCED!!! Peter Murphy ( my IDOL ) is one of Magazine's GROUPIES!!! How can he NOT be??!!! This band is BEYOND ALL FUCKING GENRES!!! This is THE ONLY ONE YOU NEED!!!!

  • so true so true

  • I fucking WORSHIP Magazine, period!!!

  • @petermurphreak What a fucking brilliant comment - I used to 'space out' to My Tulpa and 'Definative Gaze' when i was in my early 20's (1980/81) Really - the ONLY album i need

  • On jurerait une parodie d'une chanson de Françoise Hardy : "C'est le temps des copains et de l'aventure..."
