Dude awesome. Thank you so much for posting this. So what if you 'think' you're not playing it right. Sounds dead on to me man. Thanks for this again; it's hard to find bass tabs for 'Fungus Amongus"
hey, i want to start playing bass, cuz i play guitar, and i really like your playing, so can i ask you whats the difference between passive and active basses?
There are many instruments that have a passive/active mode, which can be handy in case of battery depletion or electronics failure. You're right to a point, ajsope; however, you can tweak the EQ on an active to sound nice and fat as well.
active means they take batteries. i have an rbx 774 that has active pickups. i have to change the 9v battery about every 3-4 mos. if i remember to unplug it when i'm done using it.
I don't know. lol i make the volumes for the pickups equal, the tones are almost maxed out, and the output "effected" through a mac program called garage band(to simulate a bass amp).
ok, thats why, there is probably a lot of compression, that the program and your computer automatically adding. and the amp simulation might have amp something to with it. does it say what style amp its modeling and if its simulating a cab, what kind if yes. but that help a lot.
I cant really recall the settings I used for this song. but I tend to like "American scoop" usually. Its kind of a mix of deep bass tone but with a feeling of an active bass on it. surely it doesnt really soud like an active bass, but it works.
ok, when something says scoop. i normally means midrange scoop. the bass and treble are boosted, or left alone, while the midrange is cut. thanks for your help. it would be cool to see some more vids.
i have the same bass i love it

active have more "bite"-i.e. louder more mids and front of the line sound
passive are quieter and more subtle usually a "fatter" sound
