They're chanting KSU, what we do for the final minute of a game we're winning. Kind of like KU's Rock Chalk, but our chant actually makes sence. I man really what is rock chalk? A chalk is one of the softest stones known to man, so what's that say about the Chickenhawks.
@bryguy2724 KU's Rock Chalk chant was created before KState even had a basketball team. It has history and tradition. The chant has been used in the Philippine-American War, World War 2, and even in the Olympics. Don't hate on KU basketball. There is no point. Both schools are from KS and KSU isn't even a rival to KU.
Rock Chalk represents the chalk from the Cretaceous that underlies the state and makes up Mt. Oread, the hill KU is built on. :)
It's an ode to the foundation that the school rests upon, and of which most of the campus is built out of. Look at KU's buildings (and some fine ones at K-State, too)....many are built of limestone.
