  • Ahh, good memories. :-)

  • Pugsly lost weight.

  • ...seemed more like the John Astin interview??? why didn't the movie guy "control" the flow of the interview and include Lisa and Kenny more...if he only wanted John, then he should have set it up that way...they (Lisa andKenny) had to try and jump for "morsel" space...not very professional of the movie guy.

  • Mrs.Addams uncle fester & lurch are all dead R.I.P

  • Finally...John Astin stops wearing his toupee.

  • a negative for the google ad

  • I feel so sad that sweet Carolyn wasn't able to be there and see how much the love for the show has grown through the time.

  • @RitaLovesTwilight You left out Jackie Coogan and, most especially, Ted Cassidy... he died in his mid-40s, poor guy.

  • @therunawaysrule she dead in 1983

  • OMG Ken grew up to be quite a nice looking man! The poor kid was so homely I didn't see that coming, lol!

  • She passed away from cancer many years ago :(

  • were is morticia?

  • were is mortical?

  • Oh man, he got rid of his toupee!

  • Felix is so small it's so cool!

  • I guess the entire interview was not played but I did not hear a reference to Chas. Addams, the original author. Anybody remember those early cartoons before the show was created?

  • @wamcalif5 I used to sneak in to my dad's naughty magazine stash so I could find the Chas. Addams cartoons - loved the one with the skier & the tree. :)

  • I would have like to have heard from the others more. But that"s the interviewers job.And time on this i suppose was limited.

  • bahahahahaha!!!! "that'l cost you a buck"

wish they had aid more about Carolyn tho......:(

  • I miss Carolyn Jones =(

  • in the late 80s, John Astin hosted an awesome show called Night Creatures...would this ever be released on DVD?...it was a real history lesson on the classic "horror beings" such as Frankenstein's monster, Dracula and so on...

  • lol press 1256789 xD

  • John was great, but i liked Raul julia better as gomez

  • i love the way they snap!

    hahha

i wish there was an interview before one of them had died..

  • actually the munsters; herman and lilly slept in the same bed you can see this in the photographers with harvey korman in fact harvey and the other male reporter slept in.the same bed too.

  • gomez will forever be sexy lucky patti duke

  • I thought that was a sweet touch on Lisa and Kenny's part. When they snapped they crossed their arms like Carolyn did on the opening theme<3

  • John still looks the sAme

  • @mad1l7 Really??? ...Really???

  • You owe me a buck.

  • DAMN THAT ISIDIUOS COMMERCIAL

  • Happy Birthday to John Astin! Still going strong! Have a good one. :)

  • Boy, John Astin really has aged. I still picture him as he looked on the Addams Family or when he played as Riddler on Batman sometimes. It doesn't seem like it's been nearly a half century.

  • they could have just interviewd GOMEZ the cat has the others tongues.. what a short ass video. why didnt they just interview them separately cheap ass

  • wow Gomez was like my first crush. I remember i had a crush on him for a long time.

  • love the show..!!

  • love the show..!!

  • Well just so ya know, the late Carolyn Jones and John Astin both played villains on Batman

Carolyn played Marsha Queen of Diamonds and John Astin played The Riddler when Batman had his Anniversary

I guess Frank Gorshin wasn't available @ the time to play The Riddler

  • Gomez found his Soul mate in the Abyss-lucky bastard.

  • what ever happened to the children? what are they doing now/

  • John Astin is awesome!

  • They don't make them like that anymore. Take notice hollywood!

  • Correction: Lisa Loring was not "In" porn herself. She was married to a porn star,Jerry Butler.

  • i want to c morticia

  • @SomeCrazyShit1 She died back in the 80's from cancer :(

  • Loved the show.

    Thanks.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Astin still looks good for his age considering the time the series was made. I have the 2 seasons on DVD and it was great. Loved the chemistry between Gomez and Morticia...thank goodness reality tv didn't exist. Would have ruined a really great series. Wished Hollywood today had the imagination it did years ago....now they are all related to the makers and shakers without any real talents.

  • lisa loring was in porn there for a while and who played "Thing"

  • @silvereagle2061 Ted Cassiday...he also played "Ruk" the giant android in the original Star Trek episode "What Are Little Girls Made Of?"

  • @silvereagle2061 They used his hands as "Thing". He was real versatile...doing voice overs for cartoons and he was a puppeteer as well.

  • @ZenPimps Really? cool, thanks for the info.

  • Pugsley (Ken Weatherwax ) looks so different. He was such a chubby kid and he got thinner as he got older.

  • john SHUT THE FUCK UP!

  • just so you know, i didnt watch this video because of the moronic ad. i refuse to watch ads on youtube.

  • Comment removed

  • lisa loring is hot

  • @jason8150xxx So is Christina Ricci both Wednesdays are hot!

  • i always loved the show but i really loved the movies only the first two that is

  • @94donnacone wait there was more than two???

  • no i meant the other movies they made with other people sorry for not saying it better

  • some 1 likes the sound of there own voice, wld of been nice if he hadn't contatsntly interupted the others or if he jst let them speak.. maybe an interview with out him there wld be good...

  • @swimbythesea no doubt

  • why is this interview so bad,why cant he just let him talk.

  • AWESOME

  • What, they couldn't get Thing to be in the interview? He's the only one who still gets active work these days.......

What? You never heard of hamburger helper??? Where else could they find someone to play JUST a hand???

  • Is the woman who played Morticia dead?

  • @TheDevillon Yes. :( Carolyn Jones.

  • @TheDevillon Sadly yes, Carolyn Jones died in 1983.

  • that was wonderful!....it`s a shame so many of the cast are no longer with us.

  • John Astin had played Edgar Allen Poe, stage play, he quotes the Raven Beautifully, creepy all at the same time. He is 80 + years old.

  • @caprice6 I had the pleasure of seeing "Once Upon a Midnight." John Astin was superb in the role. He was very kind at a meet and greet after the show.

  • We're standing here at the final resting pace of Jackie Coogan, and still no comment.

  • He looks good! And he's not a lot different personality wise from Gomez.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you all ( The Cast ) for the many hours of laughter and smiles you all brought to me as a youngster and today.

  • John Astin's just so cool! And still yummy, even as an elder gentleman.

  • John Astin was Gomez; the very little man at his left was....Itt Cousin!!! Itt Cousin is an italian actor, Felix Silva :)

  • John Astin could now play Uncle Fester pretty well without makeup! LOL!

My brothers met him (John) when we were on vacation on Cape Cod sometime in the 70s.

  • @Nash1a what was he like? was he bald??

  • John astin is bald I hope Mackenzie doesnt go that way

  • @Pinkstonnaked hate to burst your bubble, but John has been pretty much bald since at least the 70s. He wore a toupee for years.

  • @saljustfarted why did he keep it on for so long? So Mackanzie is proably going to be bald too right/

  • @Pinkstonnaked having a bald head years ago wasn't like now, where it's actually considered cool. This was a "leading man". I wouldn't be surprised if he was losing his hair during Addams Family.

  • @saljustfarted Oh so so John Astin was a leading man? Oh I wonder why he let it go now? I wonder also if Mac is losing his

  • They're still alive?!?!

  • @R0773N To state the obvious, yes THEY ARE. but hey it's 2010, you never know. i hope that isn't true.

  • @R0773N I just know the one who played Mortica Addams & Lurch died I don't know about rest of the Addams family members beside the ones in this video

  • CHUCK: Now Felix, was that costume human hair, or what was the deal with that?

JOHN: It was both actually, Felix can tell you.

    Then please let him.....

  • Loved this!

  • TISH !

    That's French !]

    Gomez was so cool.

  • Wow, that's really Pugsley?

  • I'm glad Astin took over the interview. He was hilarious, and don't forget, he had a lot more lines on the show than Wednesday, Pugsley, and of course, Cousin It.

  • The woman in the video is the actress who played Wednesday. Sadly the majority of the cast of the TV show is deceased.

  • Its just hard to imagine the Addams family without Lurch, Uncle Fester and most of all Morticia :sob:

  • God John Astin is such a TALKER!!! Geeeeze no one could get a word in!!!!

  • @fefejay

thats why he was the lead and he beat out everyone for that role. he has a certain magick leadership they just did not have. in a way they still view him as the leader thats why they dont jump in rather psychological in a way all that time embedded in their minds. but they should have done interview Separately i would have liked to hear from the others. very annoying that he answered ALL the questions but i loved his character. I loved the show. GREAT

  • @fefejay Well, he is the one being interviewed, so he is doing what he is expected to do, talk!

  • @fefejay I know, hehe. But I love hearing him talk and am so grateful to him for sharing his memories. When he passes, we won't be able to hear him anymore...

  • @fefejay Astin was definitely a "talker"....that was part of his persona. It's great to see all 4 of them together, but out of that group I'd much rather hear Astin talk than any of the others....so, for me, it works out great :)

  • What happened to the girl that played there daughter?? Why wasnt she in the interview??

  • @dmwbonehead09 isn't she the woman in the video, Wednesday

  • @medgr8st I believe thats mortisha Adams.

  • @dmwbonehead09 Carolyn Jones the lady who played the original Morticia died back in the 80's.

  • @medgr8st aahhh, ok..meh, didnt seem like she played wendsday to me..sorry

  • were are lurch and mrs. addams's actors?????

  • @keybladeninja2010 They've already passed away.

  • GO JOHN ASTIN!!!!! YOU ROOOOOOOOOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're my favorite actor in The Addams Family! And in Batman! XD

  • first off Ted Cassidy didn't have any sexual contact with any of the people mentioned below. if he was gay that was his choice. Lisa Loring was married to jerry butler which if I can remember wasn't a foot long, and wasn't active in porn while they were married, once he decided to go back the biz, she tossed him like a used hanky. dimple you need to get a life, and stop talking smack about people you have no clue about.

  • where the hell was lurch in the interview *****

  • @joker9461 in a cemetery.

  • @bluesfun nice one is that true

  • @joker9461 it's true it's true. check on wiki :)

  • What happened to Mortica.

  • wheres lurch

  • @joker9461 A little busy being dead.

  • @joker9461 Dead since 1979.

  • @joker9461 who the hell was lurch?

  • @dimpledick3inch: You're full of shit, and to answer your question, Lisa Loring was married to Paul Snider, not this guy.

  • @dimpledick3inch: What are you smoking (and no, I don't want any of it!)

  • I wish John Astin and Carolyn Jones would have been an item in real life. They both admitted that they were both very attracted to each other

  • You people are sick. Ted Cassidy died from complications during heart surgery

  • Holy crap most of the comments below are sick.

  • i still wach the addams family....... and here it is 2010!!! ( NETFLIX )

  • @dimpledick3inch the guy who played Lurch would engage in anal sex with porn legend John Holmes

  • I believe The Munsters were much more popular... God only knows why. Gomez was the coolest, Morticia was the hottest and Lurch was the lurchiest!

  • @dimpledick3inch No way! For reals???

  • wow they look great!!!

  • this show was amazing!

I can see pugsley lost some weight after all these years and john astin is still a legend!

  • haha, I always liked lurch. that woebegone, grim, sinister face, his immense height,

that deep reverberating booming voice. the dynamited model trains that wonderful victorian house all in beautiful black and white!

  • Thank you for putting this footage on YouTube. Ken Weatherwax a.k.a. Pugsley is mu uncle. Just to let everyone know that he is doing good and he is a born again Christian and so am I. God Bless.

  • @MrBeau333 - GREAT NEWS!!

  • I always loved John Astin! Such a great personality and the show was and is my absolute favorite! He still has that smile. :D

  • @XiLoveTheBeatles yes what happened to his hair

  • @cast390 munsters were working class, Addams had class

  • anjelica huston didn't show up because she was too busy being successful

  • @iDraw3G Anjelica Huston didn't show up because she was in the movie version not the show XD

  • @iDraw3G She's not an original cast member, so she would have been out of place.

  • anjelica huston didn't show up because she was too busy being successful

  • i like this cast soooo much better!!! especially morticia adams!!! <3 ,3 <3 them all a lot better than th eones who filmed the actual movie not tv series!

  • raul julia was the best as gomez

he sold it with great passion because

raul was a dramatic stage actor not a comedian.

  • Comment removed

  • How sad that Carolyn Jones, Ted Cassidy, Jackie Coogan & Blossom Rock had all passed away when this interview was taped. Everyone was PERFECT in their roles! THANK YOU so much for sharing this amazing footage with us! :)

  • @JubalCalif *BEFORE the interview was taped

    jeese

  • @poosaypirate

so i made a typo mistake...big friggin deal. get a life, willya?

  • With no disrespect intended to John Astin, I feel Raul Julia was a worthy successor in the movie versions. He captured the look, feel, and manic energy of the original character.

  • Boy, is John Astin as sharp as ever!!!

  • i would love to do the double snap with christopher lyold, angelica huston, christina ricci, and carol kane.

raul julia would also be great but very difficult.

  • I would love to snap with Every cast member The addams family classic to all 3 movies (ADF,ADF Vaules,ADF Reunion),New series and musical+cartoons. That whole thing has been going on since 1964 well the 1st cartoon strip was 1946's so for 64 years ADF has been around in one form or the other. I'm proud to be an addams!

  • Ok that was pretty cool

  • The best remedy for a cold: OJuice, soup, tissues and THE ADDAMS FAMILY!! Clever, witty, funny...I felt like a kid again!

  • is lurch still alive?

  • @jks2 no ted cassidy died on january 16 1979

  • @brisnmundaen

He was only 46 years, died very young!

  • who was 46?

  • no he died a while back.

  • My God ! John Astin hasn't lost his keenness or coolness.

Most of today's TV is dreck.....

  • Lisa Loring also played Cricket Montgomery, Craig's other sister on ATWT back in the early 80's

  • Lisa Loring is HOT!!!

  • John Astin wouldn't let anyone else talk!

  • @res57

I was thinking the same thing.

  • @res57 MISTER John Astin is the money-maker here, bub! A trained chimp could've played Cousin It. Let's show a little a little respect. ;)

  • @res57 really. look at everybody else! they just sitting around waiting to talk all pissed off. Look at their faces!

  • john astin teaches at my school now. he's actually my roommate's professor for a theater class. he's supposed to be really funny and a great professor :)

  • have you ever asked him anything about his work on the addams family?

  • @BMDearest He talked about his career pretty often and someone asked him about his opinion on the new Broadway and new Addam's family, I don't really remember what he said though... he's very knowledgeable about theater and film in general

  • no way?! you're soo lucky! where is the college? what's he like?

  • @thEannoyingE he teaches at Johns Hopkins University. I took Contemporary Theater and Film with him, he's really chill and pretty funny. Just a very down to earth guy.

  • thats too cool. Thanks for the video post.

Everything from the 60's was re-airing in the 80's where I lived, so I grew up with the Addams Family, and The Munsters....

  • wow! love this!

  • Thanks for this Chuck! Just yesterday (Sunday, Oct 25th) my sister ran into John Astin and his wife at Penn Center in NY and said he was the nicest guy. Said he looked great and he introduced his wife to her. A classic show and may it long endure. Thanks John Astin and The Addams Family!

  • Penn center? You mean Penn Station? Pretty cool though.

  • Penn Station! Yes, of course! My error!

  • Poor Felix - Chuck asks him two questions and egotist John Astin answers for him. Boy, Astin had to be the center of attention in this interview.

  • Lisa Loring looks pretty good. I never knew that John Astin was bald.
