You know what,... I've been listening to Gerald, Peter Schiff, other goofy guys for about a year now. I started believing in all this pessimism, all I see is the markets soaring! I no longer believe all this crap, the strength of the economy is good. I understand the numbers and I really do believe we are headed for the greatest depession, but looking at markets, and voodoo, everything is great. Fuck all this stupid shit! I'm done.... Enough with Gerald....
So, you didn't see the market go from 14,000 to the sixes last year? You dont see the P/E on the S&P soar to over 1200? The Dow is still down almost 5000 points from its high in 2007. Also, go look at the 1930 bounce back from the 1929 crash. That's cool. We need sheep too. Sheep are here to be shorn.
The Dentist who mentioned "he can't understand the doom-and-gloom" in the economy is either incensitive, misinformed or just plain stupid.
He'll realize that there will soon be more competiion in his area as more and more people lose their jobs, and they have less income to spend - which is actually a good thing.
We're going from a nation mainly of consumption to one of production, but it will be a varely painful process.
At 3:00 Gerald criticizes the gap between the rich and the poor. However, the Libertarian (Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged) philosophy is to let the successful people control the resources. In this particular video, Celente seems to be sympathetic to people in debt almost to the point of sounding like a Democrat (well, not quite).
Isn't this a contradiction of values? Who's side is Gerald really on?
If you consider yourself to be a libertarian, then I highly recommend reading the book Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. It is the most important book that a libertarian could ever read.
First thing congress should do is stop ALL immigration while we are in this mess. It does NO good to import more workers when millions of existing Americans are out of work.
Second, America needs to lower its population. There are simply too many people here today to maintain them. Its impossible to grow the economy at 5 million new workers per year.
Its time to realize that the lower a country keeps its population, the better off it will be. Too many people create huge problems.
Here in France, it's dream time, and the people are far from imagining what's going to happen when the giant wave of shit hits us when it finishes rolling over the atlantic ! Everything depends on what you guys do, or don't do !
new world order. thats what would happen. One Government domination. Forget the Amero. Their might not even be a Amero. We might just skip to the V Chip used world wide, instead of using a currency.
Well... Considering Brazil is the sheriff of the biggest communist movement within Latin America... With the USA going down Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez will be our best friends! Actually, they already are, people just don't want to believe it!! It's beyond their grasp of understanding!! Our Economy will go to the BIG WALLS as the population to be shot down as the Jews were in the concentration camps during WW2. Do I make myself clear?
I understand the problem here, I mentioned Brazil's economy, but Brazil's economy is just a kind of a resonance of USA's economy, its not a real economy! Just cause the globalization process is predatory Brazils just an easy prey. About the second part: shot down. Well, when we have a communist regime installed in a region some people don't like it and try to rebel against it... What happens next: they send them to be shot down in a BIG VERY BIG WALL!
Do you think we can escape 2009 without the huge economic crisis? And when the USA's economy goes down, I guess after a few weeks all the other economies come along and sink too.
Well... At least as far as I know it was the elite plan since the very beginning... If not lead us to war. Look for the Zeitgeist video in the YouTube... Skip WTC attack cause it was obviously fabricated...
The rescue packages will fail miserably, which is exactly what the ruling elite anticipate. Then, the global recession will develop into global depression. The ruling elite hope that history will repeat, and just as the Great Depression of the 1930s led to World War II, the ruling elite hope that the twenty-first century economic depression will lead to World War III.
America is way to deep into debt to ever pay back the debt so the only way out is to default and let the system implode. Second globalization is the past and the present not the future so it has to go as well.
Almost every doctor I know is feeling the recession too. Medicare and Medicad doesn't pay as much or as often as they should. Usually, being a dentist is cash up front. No one can pay their office overhead.Everyone is terrified that Obama's + Congress's disaster is going to pass and make the situation worse.
Hi Gerald! You're invested in gold, aren't you? Ok! I find it interesting to invest in gold. Should I buy fisical gold to store in my big safety box or store it in the banks? Thank you very much!
The most common GM crops are Corn and Soybeans... and they need fertilizer, herbicides and insecticides to still function. GM foods do incease the amount of yield per acre and may reduce usage of certain inputs but it does not save money. Generally speaking they cost more but the extra yield is suppose to more than pay for the increased cost.
and technically, nearly every food we eat has been Genetically Modified so we can eat it. Broccoli, Cabbage, Lettuce all came from the same plant. It was modified hundreds of years ago to make it edible
No one has the courage or the means to initiate a fight back against the wealth. If it could be co ordinated, what chance would the wealthy have? NONE.
What would the elite do if 1000 well armed Americans started sinking thier yachts, burning thier mansions and pouring cow shit in thier Marthas Vinyard.
I don't why George is saying we need to eat organics only?
[1] The tastes aren't different.
[2] Most organic foods are done on corporate farms, so you're not helping out the "local small farmer".
[3] The whole world population can't survive on organics. Organics could probably only support 4 billion people, not 6 billion. So we'd have starvation.
[4] Organics has become a way to jack up the prices on consumers.
[5] Organic farms use pesticides also, they're just "less harmful ones".
GMO foods are alot more harmful to your health. Look at what RBGH does to cows and people consume that crap. Oh btw Monsanto's food monopoly is growing larger. Look into Monsanto and you will have your question answered.
Supposing none-organic foods are worst (which is a big debate) that still doesn't answer point [4] which is that organic produce can only support a population of about 4 million people. We're reaching 7 billion people, people would starve.
Your numbers are wrong. Organic foods feed the world when the population was 3 billion it is just that the large corporations have dominated the market since the late 50's through strong arm tactics and underhanded methods. Study the facts.
How does your statement prove my statement wrong? Pre-1900 the population wasn't 7 billion people. Organics weren't feeding our current number. Also we weren't feeding them with any consistency, there were mass shortages in some places.
And like I said before, every single super market with "organic produce", get's their "organic produce" from very large corporations. The organic market is just as corporate as the none organic one.
Current population not 7 billion. The term "bio" is a misnomer, my primary argument is that small independent farming can replace large scale farming. In pre 1900 we did not have the road and transport infrastructure we have today, which led to distribution shortages. Price fixing, which is common today is less likely with independent farming, which could lead to higher prices which would be offset by a broader distribution of wealth.
A re-introduction of farmers markets as seen in Europe, Australia and most of the world, would allow people a choice between corporate and independent food sources. The social benefits are conducive to a more altruistic community based society. Not utopia, just a little more contact with the neighbors. Sort of like you tube, eh?
Thank you Gerald for all that you do. You speak the good word and you are so bang on with the mom and pop and family gardens while keeping industry relatively small within' a mom and pop and barter system type of community.
