Dont mean to be an asshole or anything but the P38 pistol you have in the video is not a Walther. If the P38 has the code "byf 43" on the slide than it was made by Mauser, so it is a Mauser P38, not Walther P38. For all those who dont know this, pistols or rifles marked with byf was made in Oberndorf, Germany. This one happens to be made in 1943. I know it probably doesnt matter, but its not good to give people false information when it comes to history.

@1987James It is still a Walther P38. It was designed by Carl Walther, but do to the large demand manufacturing was farmed out to 3 other weapons firms (your correct Mauser was one).

@1987James You are right it's a Mauser, but as the pistol was designed and entered into service as a Walther it is officially still a Walther P38. It just happens to be made by Mauser. So in a way you're both right. BTW guess why my nickname is byf43 ;-)) My first WWII weapon was a P38 with that code =) Still have it. :o)

my dad has that first gun. ive held it and it is unbelivably small. my grandpa was in ww2 and he picked it up of of a dead german
