I get nostalgia every time i hear this, retro studios has that distinct sound. my mind instantly goes to metroid prime 1,2, and 3 every time i hear those choirs and gongs because i've heard them so many times before. kinda a nice throwback if you played metroid, since it sounds so familiar.

DKCR2 should have Tiki Tong returning with a new master who was the villain who gave him and the Tiki Tak Tribe bananas in the first place. Diddy and Dixie then team up to stop Tiki Tong. Yep Tiki Tong is made of bananas just like the other Tikis. He explodes into a shower of them when defeated so there is no denying the fact that someone was there from the start and harvested to the bananas to start producing these guys. Makes me wonder who could have done it.

this friggen boss. He wasn't hard, but he wasn't easy. I'll be lying if I said I never lost a life against him, because I have.

I REALLY hate that attack where he closes his hand on you. You've got to jump at just the right time to dodge him.

I'm sad that I was born in 1997 even though the N64 was and still is badass DKC was awesome. I miss K.Rool he was fucking awesome. They better make a DKC 5 with K.Rool. DK games are never a disappointment!

@ShadowkingSonic Yeah. It's not the first time we've seen a head with hands as a boss. I'll give Tiki Tong this though. His battle theme is very catchy and the ending cut scene...well I don't think he's coming back after that finishing blow from DK and Diddy

Nintendo love their "floating head/hands" bosses. Bongo Bongo, Gohdan and Mazaal from Zelda, Andross... And if just the hands count as well, there's also Eyerock from Mario 64 and Master/Crazy Hand from SSB. Frankly I'm surprised they haven't done one in Metroid yet.

I'm not sure if Rudy the Clown from Wario Land 3 would count as this...

@HactarThe2nd In Metroid Other M, Phantoon attacks with multiple disembodied hands and the concept art in for the game depicts him in a similar manner to the disembodied head/hand bosses Nintendo loves.

@skellington15 You can actually go the Options menu in the game and completely silence all sound effects and voices in the game, leaving just the music and vice versa.
