You said you don't normally wear gloves on a scooter.. Obviously you're a great rider, but you might want to anyway because as you've said: Accidents are often not your fault.

The ONE time I didn't wear gloves because they were throughout wet, I crashed (slow but still) and opened up my hands and knees. Kinda proves my point.

@13mordeth:The scooter doesnt have a neutral,thats why it doesnt have to go in gear.It has a CVT transmission. It is used in some cars as well,but u hear some people complaining that its not as easy to hold on a hill as a normal automatic.Thats cause the power at the wheel at idle is very low and the reason why your scooter doesnt go off despite not having a neutral and being in gear all the time.U can see it when u put it on the center stand.Rear wheel should be spinning slowly

front brake = abs usually, which has 2 pads squeezing a disk vs a drum rear brake which will just slow down the rear wheel from spinning with the clutch. and my rear drum is defective and locks up even if I lightly pull in the brake so I just removed it, and the lever for it and just use front brakes. FRONT BRAKES are key to stopping. I know a lot of people who just use their rear brakes.

@13mordeth Funny scooter story: Within the first week or two of getting my scooter I tried starting it on the kick start. I kept trying to kick it over and it wouldn't start. I took the spark plugs out and cleaned them out. Then tried the electric start and the kickstart. Still nothing. Looked down and the ignition wasn't on. From that point I was too far in to just turn the ignition on so I pretty much took the scooter apart and pretended to fix the engine. Then it started and I rode off :')
