@PhantomOfPanton This guy has a Scottish accent! Are you retarded though? Every American state has its own accent. For example; Boston, New York, Louisianna, Texas, Minniesota, Wisconsin, Flordia, Illinois, etc... get real bud.
@PhantomOfPanton You were unable to identify a Scottish accent and made a statement saying American's have no accent, I think you are retarded. Step up your brain game.
I don't study accents or practice identifying them...lulz
I mean that Americans don't have one accent. Most people I know have a plain accent, you would have no idea what state they were from, just a boring accent.
very nice bro i love it!!! but will you do the same in the winter time when snow can put to much weight on the tarp or will you have another setting? Daniel
nice set up. i´m planing to use the the same size of tarp for 2 person. Would you recommend the same set up or should i lower the height for an overnighter?
Hey Colin, thanks for the great video. This has sort of convinced me to ditch all those stupid plastic tents and just get a Tarp. What size would you recommend for fitting 2 persons and gear comfortably?
@maethorize Thanks my friend, well the tarp should on this video was 2m x 3m which would work for 2 people. Might be a bit of a squeeze though depending on the amount of gear. :-)
@ColinOutdoors so I think I will go with 3x3 or 3x4. Weight isn't really an issue for me, I usually pack light (which doesn't mean light items, but few :D) and I'm used to carrying heavy. Thanks for the advice!
I'm curious as to why you didn't just use the 25 foot length of cord as a ridge line under the tarp? You would get better support, and it's simpler. Good shelter non the less.
@mattamiller When it rains the water will travel down the cord so if its under the tarp it will potentially make the shelter wet inside, thanks for watching my friend
@ColinOutdoors Ok I was hoping you were there are lots of Bushcrafters there and tons of info available. Please check out my blog when you have time: johngenis.blogspot dot com
Thanks for the vid. Wish I nad managed to get these for the Scout troop. Ah well B & Q will have to do. I'm in Fife, guess you are west. Well done and keep them coming .
Did you get the tarp from a builders store? They now doing cheap tarps of 3x5 and 5x7. Quite useful and lightweight.
WHNorthcote 2 months ago
@WHNorthcote This tarp was from Aldi I think. Yeah most diy/builder stores sell cheap tarps.

There are a lot of English language accents around the world. Where I live people can understand every word Boomhauer says.

useless in Canadian weather, I would want full enclosure. I dont know what purpose this type of set up provides.
RoyalCompass 5 months ago
@RoyalCompass A full enclosure leads to condensation, this is not for sleeping in this is for getting out the rain or sun.
ColinOutdoors 5 months ago
@RoyalCompass
I understood you, and I'm American! Americans have like no accent XD
so you sounded like you have a heavy accent, what country are you from? :D

@MyPoison77 Hi Daniel, Thanks my friend. For winter a steeper roof is better I believe.
ColinOutdoors 6 months ago
I have a very nice tarp but I also keep and extra cheap blue tarp in my pack all the time just in case I find some one that might need it.

nice set up. i´m planing to use the the same size of tarp for 2 person. Would you recommend the same set up or should i lower the height for an overnighter?
ThePanTian 8 months ago
@ThePanTian Hi mate, well depending on the weather I would generally have a lower set up. If you had a fire then this design should work well :-)
ColinOutdoors 8 months ago
If it was to rain, I'd have the horizontal part sloping as well. Good just the same; very neat
