the island is truly amaizing, dont get stuck in A resort. get car hire and see all the beaches, volcanos, views are immense, mingle and eat at small local places, better food and miles cheaper, locals real friendly, been 6 times in 8 months, try offroad motorbikes - or ring nige, vids under title of backtrax. leave the family on semi private beach, nice and safe. wonderfull place, only good comments from me. beaches are amazing. nice vid mate.

Dear James Mitchell,

Would you do this video again without all the sand dune scenes, that show the place as being the same as Praia, Cape Verde, near Senegal.

It causes continued confusion as both places are near each other, according to artistic maps.

If you could just put the best bits in, say, starting with the airplane view of corralejo 35660 Spain, then some city views and then some beach scenes then some accommation scenes, hotels and homes for rental.

I like your video because I've been three time in fuerteventura. In North, in the middle and south. I like corralejo, but costa calma beaches are really good too. This year i was in Jandia/Morro Jable, and the beach are fantastic. ;-)

Just came back from Oliva beach there and I totally agree, you could very easily be mistaken for been on a tropical beach, it is spectacular, so much so that I have already booked for Aug 2011. You need to see it and be there to appreciate it.

been here... was the most amazing holiday ever!! got so many memories from if i wasnt on the catamaran in caleta de fuste snorking with giant turtles then i was jet skiing... absolutely loved it.. just got back in sept 09 and been like a million times and will deffo go again!!

Just wanted to say muchus gracias glasgow1234m can't hear that All Saints tune without thinking of the island. I am really broke at the moment but I am saving what I can for a week or two in 2010 probably around the time of the kitefest. It is grey but mild here in Sligo today, they say the warmth is coming up from the Canaries...you bet it does! If you have never been to Fuerte before...do try..truly heaven on earth.

I love Fuerteventura and Corralejo. We always stay at the Dunus Club which is next the Harbour and if your lucky, you can get a sea view over looking Lanzarote. Its also a good place to catch the early surf before the locals get out of bed. Worse place i hate is Caleta de fusta, full of english trash!

Oasis papagayo is supposed to be mint watch what you read as there are 2 hotels with similar names oasis village and oasis papagayo village the later being the best.

The reviews ive read say it's excellent,we are going in september too so may see you there :)

If you watched the video all the way through you would see that it is a beach.. Behind the beach there is a national park which has miles and miles of sand dunes.. guess you could call it a mini desert.

well i dont think they hate the english as a whole. Its more the drunken,pub going loud mouths that they are not too keen on. I think canarian people, especially in Fuerteventura are very welcoming! especially to families and young couples!

Just dont expect a warm welcome if you are there to get drunk 24-7 and cause havoc

If you see it for real it's much better! It has one of the best climates of the world. I've lived for 3 years up in the North of the island. Take a visit to "El Cotillo", it has some fantastic natural beaches...

We were disappointed with the beaches, until on our 9th day there we saw the tide in! Lots of rocks to be wary of. We walked from Corralejo down to the flag beach. I'm pretty sure there must be better out there.

I love Corralejo! i have been there 4 times, 3 times in the "oliva beach" and one time in the "tres islas" hotel =) i will go there again next summer..!

Just back from Oliva Beach. All inclusive, food great, free flowing drinks, helpful hard working staff, two nice pools, lots to do.

Beach is stunning, but...when water is calm it is heaven, when windy, can be a little dangerous for small kids who will need supervision.

Spoke to couple at Tres Islas and it appears Oliva Beach is superior in many ways including the entertainments, bars, snacks and restaurants.

Try Oliva beach, you will not be disappointed. You can always pop in next door.
