Presumably, this diver is a professional? Why then does he have his air gauge flapping around all over the place to catch on the wreck of the ship, risking damage to it, as well as preventing him from freely swimming away? You are supposed to keep this in front of you to check how much air you have irrespective of whether you are using Nitrox!!!!!!!!
I want this guys job because I am a better search and rescue diver. The third rule of a scuba diving is always look good, and not let your equipment dangle.......
@Benman1964 No, I am a good diver fuck ass, now go get me a beer....If those cards meant anything to you, you would not be calling me an ass. If you dive like this guy, you fucking suck....
So, you're a Sea Captain driving your boat through a Sea Lane that's been mapped out since forever and you get a wild burr up your butt to drive along the well known rocky shoreline - and your entire crew says, 'Cool Man, lets go for it'! High risk shows like 'Fear Factor' and 'Jackass' demonstrate some behind the scenes overriding sanity to avoid the murder of their participants. But this group of sailors showed no sense of responsibility at all. Are all the cruise line's crews this insane?
Page 3: You all can Google "Normandie salvage" to see how this type of salvage is done. The SS Normandie was a huge French ocean liner that burned and sank at her moorings in NYC in World War II. The Navy stripped off the superstructure, refloated the hull, and it was towed to a big yard in New Jersey and cut to pieces, and the scrap steel sold to the mills. That is the likely fate of this sad hulk, also.
Can someone with specialist knowledge respond to the question, How will this be salvaged or removed? My own guesses, but I am not an expert in this field. (1) This ship is probably ruined, due to the seawater invading so many electrical and mechanical spaces. (2) It might be re-floated, as battleships were at Pearl Harbor in 1941-42, but those were not in open water with insecure position on the sea bottom. (3) It could be cut up in-place. BIG problem: Its physical position is unstable. P. 2.
P. 2: I presume that before any major work is done, that the ship will have to be physically secured with huge cables run from the island. Then, I believe that the hull damage would be mapped to see if re-floating via bladders and compressed air is possible---After the fuel in the bunkers is pumped out. This will be a very dangerous & expensive salvage. It will also damage the cruise ship industry for a few years. The lawsuits on this will be godawful but deserved.

Them dead people could be anywhere inside that ship. In a bathroom, or a closet, who knows! Wrapped in a sheet. Just creepy!
