Thanks hbi, if it wasn't for this contest I wouldn't have made my Gintama Abridged and then wouldn't have been noticed by one of my favourite abridgers and then have him guest on my 2nd episode Also I wouldn't now be the editor of 1KidsEntertainment's Death Note abridged. A lot of good things came from this contest even before the results were released ^-^

I find it funny you don't have a problem with the mad scientist "remastering" process they used on the DBZ Remastered Sets that made it look like the film had been in the sun too long.

Well, at the end of the day all of the North American releases of the series have looked kinda crappy. It's par for the course when you're dealing with such an old series. Hopefully the Dragon Box footage will look at least a little better, but I'm not expecting miracles.

I'm glad you created this contest since it help me strive to become a better actor and writer. I have another abridged series in the works and I've already written a scenario of things to come in the series that would parody its story with the games that preceded it. Since I've played every game in the series thus far, I've been practicing my voice acting & mimicry, & I've learned not to become nervous when stepping up to the mic, I think people might enjoy it as do I making it.

Blasphemy. If the creators had wanted it to be in widescreen, they'd have animated it in widescreen. If they'd wanted half the characters heads to be cut out of every third shot, they'd have drawn it that way.

From what you did for Child's Play, and now where you help people be encouraged into taking that step into abridging and other videos where you've given great advise on what people can do and insight into your own series so that people can see it from the maker's viewpoint.

I've spoken with LordMoonstone. He is a someone that has a much better grasp on reality than most, and I am very glad you were good enough to point out his entry. As I watched it I was thinking the very same as you, in that it was not wonderful, but at the same time I didn't hate it.

Well, the Japanese version has all kinds of extra stuff, but we don't really know yet how much of that will come to the US version.

The important thing, though, is that it's original aspect ratio (none of this cropped widescreen bullcrap) and that the footage is taken directly from the 16mm masters and then cleaned up from there, meaning that it looks as good as humanly possible for a 20-year-old show.

It'll be on DVD, no word on Blu-Ray yet (my guess is that they'll wait on Blu-Ray until there's enough Kai to be worth releasing, but that's just a theory).

It will be a series of box sets. We don't know 100% what the release schedule will be like yet, but the first set comes out in November and has the first 42 episodes over six discs, so if most of the sets are around that same size, that would be 7 sets to complete the series, plus an 8th for the movies.

Ah! Me, my friend, and his sister made a Getbavkers episode for the contest. But our run time was around 12 mins and we were using WMM so we couldn't save the project. We had actually did all the work aside from coming up with the script in the last like 2 or 3 days. I wish you could have seen it. In the opinion of all our friends we've shown it was preatty awesome. Wanted to get your opinion too. I mean what better opinion than someone who has made 2 great abridged and is working on a 3rd?
