You have to buy them either with battleforge points, but you can also buy those battleforge points with gold which you acquire ingame from other players

is it a only online game. It is free, but if u want to get goodly cards like Juggernot u need to get Batteforge Points.

@Klinkz2000 The game itself is free, but you have limited cards, very few. You pay 'micro-transactions' to buy new cards. Not sure on the price, but a very unique and clever game imo. Installing it now.

No, because unlike Magic, in this game the rares aren't so vastly superior that they always trump commons and uncommons. Just like in Magic, if you use good strategy, you can win with all commons - it just requires you to know what each unit and spell you have does. Not only that, b ut with the card upgrades, commons can get to be powerful as you upgrade them.

everyone has the wrong idea about the card system, because of the inital 64 cards and the 3000 points that allow you to buy an additional 94 cards, you essentially start with 160 cards! thats more than enough to play the game for the rest of your life and never NEED to buy cards. however if you want to buy more, yes you have to spend a little cash, but you can also sell your cards on an ingame auction house for more points so it could possibly STILL cost you nothing
