Great video! Lots of good information! But his barely blinking is creeping me out. Besides barely blinking, the cold glassy stare for five and a half minutes is even creepier. He makes facial expressions and moves his head, but he NEVER looks away from the camera. Might want to work on presentation.
Great Video! Lots of great information. However, his hardly blinking is creeping me out. But not only barely blinking, the cold glassy stare for 5 minutes is even creepier. He makes facial expressions and moves his head, but he NEVER looks away from the camera. Might want to work on presentation.
Hey dude, someone might have told you this but the Mini-14 is a completely different gun than what you have there. It's made by Ruger and it's a .223. It's like the Mini-30's little brother. What you have is a M14 or as it's called in civilian form the M1A.
@LaCosaNostra132 The SOCOM is around 2k. You can pick up a bone stock M1A for around 1-1.5k(depending where you buy). Mil-spec M14's will probably run in and around the same price point. The only difference is the full-auto setting, which I find pointless in the weapon system.
@zolo365 It is available in "Urban Camo" that is white, grey and black. It looks cool but it is hard to find in stock. It usually caries a premium of $100-$200 but it looks great.
Really would enjoy having an M14 design. The only thing in my budget is the Ruger Mini-14. I would enjoy having this rifle, except for the price. I really would enjoy having the EBR model, but for $800.00 for just the stock is expensive. The gun itswlf, with the stock is around $3,500. Good review man.
Watched the Video through and through but you look really bored and uninterested in doing your video. Be more animated when your selling the video and gun.
SOCOM II is not worht the extra money ppl want you to pay for it. I love my SOCOM 16 and with the extra 500 buck i saved from not buying a SOCOM II i bought a SAGE EBR stock.
I've had a slam fire on my M1a loaded while using some handloads. It was a preety rare scenario and I don't expect that it'll ever happen again, being as it hasn't happened in the 200 some odd rounds I've put through it since. Great review videos, glad to finally see a table top review of a M1a
Just wanted to let you know the mini 14 shoots 223 or 556 and the mini 30 shoots 7.62x39(same as ak47 and sks) not 7.62x51 like the m1a or the fal or the keltec RFB not being rude just so you know.
I really love the M1A rifles I still remember the old M14s from the 1950s. When you shoot the full autos it's hard to hit the target after the the first shot because of the recoil. The new polymer M1As are even better becaue of less weight, but I think that they are a bit over priced. My local gun shop sells this exact same model for $2278.99. I think you would do better with a 20 round magazine instead of a 10. In my state that is legal. I hope you enjoy owning this rifle.
Dude...I was with you until you added the Kel-Tec into the mix...come on...Kel-Tec is notorious for its relatively low quality...you just can't put them in the same sentence as a FNAR, FAL..or a Ruger..those three are proven, high quality weapons..Kel-Tec is crap..
@cobyson100 I hope you don't stop watching the vids because of it. Keep your eyes peeled for a Kel-Tec Vs. Ruger Vid. In the mean time check out my rappelling videos. Blake
Sorry dude....Kel-Tec never belongs in the same "review" as a Ruger..UNLESS you want to pour 5000 rounds through both for three days...if you do that...tell me the accuracy and durability at the end...
Nice rifle, just bought an AR myself but my dads been trying to find a M1A everywhere but Springfield seems to be busy with other contracts and not pumping too many out these out.
With caliber so you can only load 7.62 and not .308 then? Cause my AR handles both civi .223 and military 5.556 fine.
Nice video, great rifle. I've been wanting one for awhile, but will have to wait. Did you consider an AR in .308? For price, they can't be beat. Much cheaper than the socom II. I paid $1300 for my R-25, and you can get pmags for $20.
I also have the FNAR, too. that's a sweet shooting rifle.
You beat me to it. I tried to do a review of my Socom 16 last week, but the vid was rejected for being a bit too long. I just placed a cheap red dot sight on mine, and will put some rounds through it, see how it holds up, and review it. 5*s.
It's up now, just kind of a pre-review of a cheap red dot sight. I'll do the real review after I get some rounds through it, and see how the sight holds up to recoil. I'm a bit of a pottie mouth in my vids FYI.
I think you're right about you being the first table/bench/whatever top review of ANY M1A, really. 'Bout time, too. It's surprising how few reviews of knives/guns/gear, whatever there is, or isn't. Keep up the great work!
This guy never blinks lol

I think that gun shoots the 7.62 NATO which someone told me that is the same as a .308. Is that true? And therefore can it shoot .303
MIKEALLUNGE 7 months ago
@MIKEALLUNGE yep, 7.62x51 and .308 are the same caliber
