I preferred International Football and Basketball from Commodore that came out on cartridge in the U.S. and tape in Europe.

This game was actually made in 1957, but the relase date was put back about 28 years to allow for playtesting...

also the gameplay in this vid appears to have been sped up.

In terms of speed order from quickest to slowest;

C64 - Fairly pacey

Speccy - Pedestrian

CPC - Football in perpetual slow motion

I seem to remember the C64 version being bug ridden in places. The best version was the Amstrad CPC, followed by the Sinclair Spectrum. My mate had this for his C64 and prefered the CPC version by a mile; he was really pissed off with his version.
