  • This songs style reminds me of "Together in electric dreams" with Phil Oakey (Human League)! :-)

  • synth riff is really cheesy and corny.i think they have done much better songs.and many..

  • this album and Movement are my two favs and man I have alot of New Order albums...still to this day these guys are my favs...lyrics always speak of life the good the bad and the ugly thanks New Order for steppin up....peace.....keep on trucking!!!

  • Bernard's voice sounds strikingly similar to Asian Kung Fu Generation, an asian pop group...lol. The same pitch tone... :o

  • @Shuckus ahhh that what i was thinkin at first but i`m not sure to comment about it,..the way Bernard sing in this song just like Gotoh,..and then i see your comment,..hahaha bingo!i`m not the only one :)

  • New Order is the best documentation of the human emotional experience, that is why they are the most amazing musicians of our time.

  • Great song!

  • "You were me and I was you

This world of ours it felt brand new

You took me a little further...

I heard it all before, I've heard it all before

    I can't hear it anymore

Your hair was long, your eyes was blue

Guess what I'm gonna do to you..."

    Ahhhh.....this got me through.....

  • @goneshootin22 I dont think so I read once that bernard wrote it about being in a relationship, everything is going good that something just sets you off

  • I once read that this was adressed to Debrah Curtis. Is this true?

  • this is not included in best album, but nice song.

  • I was born in 1985, so I am a child of the 90's... still, New Order is my favoritest band ever!!

  • Priviliged to have seen the NW live a lot back in the early days as a teen! Once the NW rift gets you forget timeless welcome to NW World join the family enjoy...

  • THE CHELSEA´S SEQUOIA BUILDING 34/46-3

( CAT STEVENS-- LOVE IS IN THE AIR )

  • "I prefer fur hats to hairy twats, but your hairy twat is like a fur hat"

  • this album is fantastic, sounds of pop but also is darker.....In my mind this is New Orders best work but I am also a huge fan of Movement anthother great piece of work.....thanks New Order......peace

  • One of the funniest lyrics ever.....I think you are a pig you should be in a zoo. Wish I had written that one.....this song is all about fun self-amusement. They sung about cougars way before there time.

  • Dead or alive You spin me round

  • Ah, 16 again. Takes me back!!

  • "We were young and we were pure and life was just an open door"...Cuts straight to the heart. Brilliant.

  • Convents , windows to nature

    prayers to the wind

    souls full of gifts

    forests to clean humans

    generals , healty hearts .

  • The Chelsea´s sequoia building 33/46-3

Frothuss water from rápids , crystallines in your feet refresh

caress your skin giving you so your love the montains of Mckenzie

carry away the dust slight that to your love wrap , while chrysállide

his skin fine is purify by every glance from the mother-earth

wheat that soak up thirsty kisses , mckenzie´s grateful daughter .

  • one of the many secret gems in the new order catalogue, once again, brilliant!

  • Such a fine piece of music. We were so lucky to live this in youth.

  • epic tune!! takes you back to Madchester

  • A very fine tune indeed!! Helped out when I had some hard times.

  • God I used to dance my ass off to this.

  • I haven't heard this song for years - the intro is amazing, but the rest of the song is well dodgy!

  • low life fue el primer Lp que me compre de los new order... pero en cinta de cassette. Ya se oia de p...m... así ke nos os digo el orgasmo cuando pille el cd. jeje

  • Love this song! lt reminds me of my college days... Thank you!!

  • xxx

  • la escuchaba en el 85, a mi me hacía y me hace bailar! amo a new order

  • Completely agree , I used to have a special dance for this song. My friends used to think I was slightly mad when it came to their music. I hope they have forgotten. ;o)

The more upbeat the better , this song , perfect kiss, the village capture how good they were when they went up tempo.

  • A great song that rarely gets any plan on radios or clubs! Shame, because it is a very energetic song which I think combines the acustic and electronic greatness that is NEW ORDER!

  • hibiscusgardens... i couldn't have said it any better.

  • everything from new order makes my whole body rock with emotion and brings back so many adolescent memories...

  • I envy you having this during your teens, as it was fresh out. Funny how in some ways the 80's were way more modern soundng than anything we have now

  • @youwinoneinternets ironic isn't it? but true..

  • I was born in 1985 like another commenter but still feel like I grew up with this. The local pop station often played "Bizarre Love Triangle" and other NO singles beside the new releases in the 90's from the Cure and Depeche Mode. They connected me to the contemporary bands I enjoyed in intermediate school, as when Orgy covered "Blue Monday," and came back around with Get Ready during my freshman year. It's not the same, but I am very grateful.

  • @youwinoneinternets strange right..? Shit anymore is terrible. Music*

  • @elvensbane Ah there's a lot of good stuff, but it just doesn't sound new, not like New Order did/does.

  • at 0:49 this song explodes!

  • We were young and we were pure

And life was just an open door

Oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you...

One of my favorite New Order songs!

  • Hahahaa how bout

"Your hair was long, your eyes was blue, guess what im gonna do to you"

My favorite lyrics of all. This was great break up music.
