  • the miiiiiiiiiinnnd of minooooooolta

  • ah man, this brand stopped producing in 2006. :( found a minolta maxxum STsi in my dad's collection.

  • ONLY THE HUMAN EYE FOCUSES FASTER

  • @maT5581

NO!! my A33 is faster :)

  • Wow, totally didn't they sunk because of those lawsuits. I vaguely remember the AF one. I used to have one of the X series SLRs can't remember which one, but I loved it. I got the body, a 50mm F/1.7 MD Rokkor for $7.25 at GoodWill! :) Thanks for posting this up!

  • ...the beercan objective series, still the greatest lenses for the sony alpha cameras and they're almost 20year old!

  • Yeah, and then Honeywell sued Minolta for autofocus pattent infrigement, and Honeywell won because the trial was in the U.S. And also, Minolta invested a lot of money in development of APS size film cameras. Two great and honest developments resulted in failure of the company. Sad story. Best lenses in the world though.

  • @dvamateur

I think they lost even more money on XI series.

Design and some of the features been far to ahead of time.

Others (expansions cards - uaarrgh) been just not marketable.

Also Mino never managed to have pro customers care like Canon and Nikon.

That keept them on 3rd sport forever...

  • @dvamateur Funny thing is Honeywell owned Pentax then Pentax got AF.

  • @dvamateur

They also got sued by Exxon for the overlapping X's in the word "Maxxum"

  • @ParanoidGallows That must have been in the U.S. as well, because in Europe, Minolta used the name Dynax, or something like that. Nontheless, I think in Mexico Minolta presence must not have been that strong, since Dos Equis didn't sue them for their XX beer :)

  • Awesome!

  • I have that camera - awesome.

  • @rbonillavid me too i agree is awesome greetings from Colima peace ^_^
