  • How is this modeling technique called cuz id like to learn more about it

  • @iAbstractHD it's called box modeling - basiclly you start with a box than cut and slice it into pieces - and move these points/ edges or polygons around until you get the shape you want. ; )

  • my school teaches with autodesk inventor and i made some sweet characters with it

  • This is Yantram BPO Service Pvt.Ltd providing all types of 3D Modeling animation services like Animations studio,3d modeling animation,3D Panoramic view,3D Photomontage,Architectural Animation.3D Modeling animation software refers to programs used to make computer generated.

  • Though incredibly old, you have solved a problem I've been dealing with all week :) Thank you

  • you are great at 3d modeling I have 3d modeling but I dont know how to create things

  • A-fucking-mazing.

  • Very low poly.

  • Can you animate this????

  • Master!!!

  • does anyone no a 3d program for mac like this one that is not 30 day trial and its free, if u do please message me

  • @xbackdownx99 Get Blender.

  • :O is good!!!! modeling you in cinema 4d?

  • can you make it slower next time please

  • you're cool.Keep it up man!Are you amateur?

  • respect!

  • that was slow...=)

  • @MultiJacob123 All the best works of art took alot of time. ;3

  • @djxthexmonferno No it was not slow. I was just joking man!!!

But great anyway! But can you make a slow tutorial in different parts?

  • very cool

  • Hey is there a website for the tourial you using?

  • 4H 36M? ZOMG! I'm so happy I have Zbrush. Can put out stuff like this in little under an hour.

  • Terrible video quality...

  • i painted a dragon in ceramics that looked like ths

  • all i can say is .......

  • I alwase wondered how they did this and now i see

  • Final weigh in-

    Verts/quads: ?

  • i could only get this software as: Maxon Cinema 4D R11 should it work as well as this one (its the versino right after the 1 u use d in this vid)

  • Work hard for your dreams !! Stand up and fight !!! - it wont fall from heaven ! :)

  • well said

  • excellent work in that time,

could I ask how u do that, that the symmetry object always fits together in the middle. When i try to boxmodel with a symmetry object, it is kind of difficult, when I extrude something if its near or on the middle line.

  • its quite simple! first of all - it dont fit all the time perfect in the middle. Its speed Up so you might not see it, but i check and correct this all the time. (When ever you see the orange border in the middle - i fixed it)

Its a very basic procedure. I set the Axis of the model to XYZ (0,0,0) aswell as the Axis of the Symmetrie Object.

and than I model the whole object on one side X + (the RED axis in the video)

  • Then I select the border in the middle and use the SCALE values of XYZ ( "value" ,"value" , "value" ) and scale (in this video) the X Value to ZERO . so that the are in one line - and then they are offset for example X: -2 .... now i just move them to X 0 and they are perfectly in the middle

(It sounds very complicated, but its really just a work of 2 seconds - Select border - scale to 0 (So that they are in one Line) - move to the middle Axis (zero) ) :)

    hope it helps ...

  • thank you very much indeed for this long description, didn't expected something long like that =)

    Lieben Dank

  • Excellent!

  • can you make a video on how to make this??? because I cant figure out how to make animals on this program.... please help

  • what is the program

  • cinema 4d r10

  • incredible.

  • good job

  • Kitty kitty!

  • i liked the way you spend time on doing all the small details on the hands and elsewhere.. the lines are all nicely spread out and placed.

  • Very nicely done! You make it look so easy.

  • awesome

  • LOL sry i keep bothering you. i forgot you can post what TIME the song is at. so what is the song at: 0:43?

  • hey no prob,

its the beginnnung from > X-japan - Kurenai

  • well i mean the first song before the guy starts singing. LOL i donno how to explain

  • hmm... what's the song?

  • Nice. I like your work

  • Well done, I'm working with maya/zbrush too, take a look at my channel, I show the entire process of creating a game character from scratch !

Keep on the good work, 3D rocks !!

    Nath :)

  • How do you work with a selected section of polygons like the masks in Zbrush?

  • its nothing special -

    > just select a few polys/ points/ edges that I want work with - and than the actions I do, are restricted to that selection ( ... if I want )

    > Or i just select the polys i want - and hidde the other ones

    > Or often i copy the model or some selected Polys and work with the Copy - to be sure not to screew up the hole model :P

  • Second answer is what I wanted. Thank you

  • good thing that the peer to peer exist ^_^ and those nerds that can crack evrything :)

  • I use maya :) best program in the world :P

  • very good, I am a Maya user myself

  • tallacus and probounder he said he uses cinema 4d lol

  • niice :)

  • Looks exactly like blender3d, a free program.

  • Wow, that song in the background is a total rip of of Powerman 5000- drop the bombshell

  • Awesome. 800 bucks isn't too horrible.

  • What song is that at "5:55"? And how long did that take you?

  • hi, its "Orange Range - Asterisk" and the whole dragon took me 4h 36min to model.

  • looks as easy as in spore, but its damned difficult.

    respect!

  • Can this modeling program

    A.) Animate?

    B.) Export in .3ds?

    C.) Cost?

I'm in desperate need of a program, with the first 2 qualities. The cost (whether it has one or not) doesn't matter much.

    :)

  • blender?

  • cinema4d

  • Use 3ds max or Maya answers: yes yes yes yes yes and yes for every usefull thing, to litle detail. Cost: 7500, to 9000 dollars (you say no mater the price) ^^ and the second question is export .3ds. in that case i presume that u use 3ds, so i think that is best to you do not change, but if u are sure, that dont want max or maya, try, XSI (now is a authudesk program). Nad u ask it 2 months ago probaly, have buyede something yet. but i "have" to put my opnion. Nadsorry by the english ^^

  • That's easy.

  • yay for jpop nice orange range.

  • now use FumeFX to blow fire out its mouth!

  • i want to start building models + animations for CSS and Gmod, but all i have is blender (freeware) its really good, it just cant export in the right format

  • thanks for the crit, my next dragon will be longer and better ;))

  • thanks :) ... no it wasnt Lightwave >> i use Cinema 4D R10

  • Great vid man, how long did it take to build that dragon?

  • it says at the beginning: real time: 4 hours, run time 7 minutes

  • oh yeah :P

At the end of the vid I already forgot the beginning of the vid :D

  • Did you eye it or did you have some sort of reference pictures? 3ds max?

  • i just googled for "chinese dragon" saved it to my HDD and switched some times to my desktop and looked at it (i cut these parts together with some ICQ/MSN-breaks out for the final)>>> But No Blueprint setup!

    not its Cinema 4D r10
