Anw i was under Wei lao shi for 8yrs, and he's a great conductor! Its a surprise to even see people doubting his ability here!

How come no suona from the starting ? Suona helps to bring out the "feel" from the start . Suona makes the whole piece seems very "power" and strong . Replacing Suona with Erhu seems weaker :(

we took part in the following SYF

2000=silver

2002=silver

2004=silver

2006=gold

2008=gold

so it was a hard process.. :)

Just passed by to listen to the tai yang..wei lao shi was my teacher..although the tai yang has been simplified..u all played quite well as of primary school standard..jia you..and gong xi u all for getting a gold award with the fei tian..i was present as the SYF..WELL DONE!!

He is Wei Lao Shi..haha... i presume you must be from Hwa Chong Institute or Catholic High then... He insist that the team remember the scores by heart and we coordinating teachers have to test them every week... Well the hard work paid off and we got a gold...
