This song is from Raj Kapoor's film Mera naam joker. All other male songs of this film were renderred by Mukesh, but this song was too difficult for Mukesh. Only Rafi Saahab could sing it so melodiously from all play back singers of India.

Actually it is a Punjabi folk tune called "Heer" as it is reserved to sing story of "Heer Ranjha". As it is folk composition, it is one of most popular tunes in Punjab and many singers have sung it. But see how sweetly and effeciently, Rafi Saahab sang it.
