hey... do you use 0.5 lead? I recomend 0.7 beaces 5 is REALLY easy to break and 7 the lines are smoother... ok and i also wanted to say that i love the ears! the hair tutorial really helped

I tried to follow the hairstyle and I think I did pretty well and my drawing looks pretty good since it's my first ever anime' drawing. there are two flaws with my version though. :(

The top of the head looks weird and I can't get the elf ears quite right. If i uploaded a picture/scan of my elf girl could you give me a few pointers please? would be much appreciated.

Well there can be a number of problems as to why they don't upload... Sometimes I can't upload mine either.. It could be because you're video file is too large.. But I don't know... I'm no expert.

Well, when I made my video here, I had been drawing anime for about 10 months. Age is also another improtant factor in your drawing skills. I'm 18 now and I'm drawing a LOT better now than when I was like 12.

Thanks for the complement :) Actually, I haven't taken any study or big art class thing. The only things I did take though was some little art class like 4 years ago and an anime art class. The anime art class didn't teach me very much more than what I already knew so I eventually quit it. I mainly learned how to draw by teaching myself by observing and looking at how to draw anime books :)

I just got them at a book store or rented them at the library :) I forgot what some of the books where called. One was called girl to grrl manga by Coleen Doran, which was a really good one. I only have two how to draw manga books that I own. One of them is pretty good. It's called Manga Mania Magical Girls and Friends. If you're a boy, those books might be not to your taste though XD

thanks :) Well to answer your first question, I have a video on how to draw eyes and that may be helpful. also, All I can really say is practice, look at references for help and more practice! for your second question, The eyes should be about in the middle of the head ( sometimes lower depending on the picture and style ).
