  • Such a bad ass song, love it. very intelligent artist. hardly no one plays this kind of music

  • love this song, the only suggestion i have for death cab is that the intro is like 1/2 the whole song! it gets kinda boring, but other than that, awesome!

  • we need more basslines like this. just awesome song

  • the bass drives this tune. great stuff

  • love the bass line, just hate playing it lol.

  • kick ass bassline!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wish they still had the actual music video for this song. Got removed due to violation(s). fucking ass record companies. grr!!!

  • i love this song

    =)

  • Rap is Crap

  • i hate rap

  • Ok. This is how i feel about how people are talking about what instrument is better etc. The band wouldn't fall a part without a drummer because if you can't count, you can't call your self a musician. Second. Drums and bass are equally important in this song because for the fact that they work as a unit. If you haven't noticed, in other death cab songs the bass and drums always work as a unit. Without bass there wouldn't be a full sound, but with out guitar and vocals there would be no melody.

  • but with drums, it helps keep the beat for everything. DCFC is a unique band though cause they have the bass lead instead of drums but they do work together

  • i love this song, we sang it at workcampNE but changed the words up a little, i love jesus! (:

  • I dont belive in god, please keep your religion off line

  • what do you care?

  • so?

  • Great band and venue both from the Great Pacific Northwest

  • yoo i usually dont really listen to rock like dat cuz i listen to hip hop but my ears itch for Death Cab for Cutie lol my fav song rite here

  • dude nice sound recording

  • I get lost in the sound... what a gooooood sound

  • shit...are people actually arguing that one instrument is better then another? its obviously not like that. every instrument has a purpose. anyways, what is popular this century (guitar) may fade away like instruments from past centuries (violin). anyways, there are other instruments that have also stood the test of time, ie piano lol

  • I fell in love with the woman I married here at this show this day, beautiful

  • =) That's lovely.

  • that bass is amazing! i think i speak for all bass players!

we are underrated! we are soo better than guitar!

  • wrong,

every band would fall apart with out guitar. however, it would be possible to survive without bass. i mean look at all the guitar duo bands.

  • not ever band wud fall aprt.. sum band can make do wivout guitar...

wivout a bass, yes u cud survive.. but u need a bass...

look at all the drum and bass!

  • wrong again, guitar is the core of any band, then drums. drum and bass bands? i dont think so

  • your all wrong. drums are the core of any band. the drummer is the one who keeps everyone else on beat and together, without drums everything would fall apart

  • Q: What's the guy who sits behind the band called?

    A: the drummer

  • the drummer is a very essential part of the band

  • what about Death From Above 1979, suck it deadlydalton13? Yeahhh

  • suck what? lmao, the ONE band that no one has heard of because it probably sucked cause all it had was a bass and drums? on the other hand, there are countless guitar only bands

  • there's a whole genre entitled drum and bass. music isn't restrictive, just because your mind is. guitar is a part of the majority of most bands, but isn't a necessity, and besides, bass is playing the rhythm here, imagine this song without it.

  • you will never be able to convince people that bass is more important than guitar, guitars rules by far

  • i totally agree this is just about the only song that i couldnt listen to without the bass everyother song the bass isnt important and bass is soooo much easier to play i tought myself to play to prove i was right with the same argument it took me a week electric guitar took me about a month

  • which guitar? Bass, lead, rhythm?

  • all of the instruments compliment each other, with out one the others wouldnt sound right an the band would b off, you need some sort of bass line, but you also need a guitar just like drums an vocals are vital. it all adds up into something great. thats just my opinion tho

  • yep..... very ture

every1 rocks out on stage. apart from a bass player, coz its his job to keep the line going. but ye all 4 instements need to be played well. .

    but u dont need voacles

  • this is the best long-song to listen too

  • this is me and my girlfriends song, and i will always remember it

  • Damn this song is so fly. The bass is amazing, transcendental vibe.

  • its a good song but its not crazy good

  • Love this song! XD

  • rockin bass!

  • sick input retrosheads

  • This song is perfect.

Any argument against that fact can fuck off.

  • Good Bass!!

  • this is the best song ever!

i'm totally in love with it since the day i first hird it! amazing!

thou i don't like any of their other songs.. oO

  • Dude, we're totally in the same boat.

But We Looked Like Giants and I Will Follow You Into the Dark are pretty good, too.

    Just, nowhere near this.

  • really? you don't like ANY of their other songs?

  • nope. they're just...dumb.

    but this song...genious!

  • dead? ya you have no life.

  • i bet they played one base line and repeted it and added backround effects!

  • you know wat bass players do? they play the bass line, its in the job...

  • I love this song....Just figured out who it's by....

  • sasquatch festival? O_O may i ask what other songs did they play as well?
