Guys to stop it just turn your computer back on and delete the shortcut. Your computer only shuts down when you click on the program. Thumbs up so everyone can see.

better way to do this, open notepad, type shutdown -s -t 60 -c "your message here" and save it as a .bat file if your going to be tricking someone. And rename the bat file whatever your trying to make the person believe what it is.

To stop that timer without shut down , after that fake icon has been created ,just "run->"shutdown -a"(without quotations).......now the timer in that fake message will be stopped and the system will stop shutting down...!!!

Even if he never found out about this auto shutdown sequence, he could start the computer in safe mode, retrieve all his personal files, then re-install Windows. If someone were to completely thrash Windows on my computer, I could format the drive, do a clean install of Windows and still have all my personal files intact after the install. I think ahead. :)
