  • Indeed a crappy voice which disturbs the song repeatedly :S

IMHO: A keyboardist --> Must play Keyboard

    :-)

  • THE INDIAN GUY IS GOOD. BUT CARLOS IS WAY FUCKIN BETTER

  • I can't beleive paul can't hit those notes...wonder hoe he made it for the recording? Pitch correction? Great song anyways...but the little part in wich he tries to sing a part of the chorus that high you can hear his voice falling apart awfully. Keep smoking Paul...

  • @thehornypuppy Is Paul a HEAVY smoker?

  • @anth00000 Is he? I really don't know but you know what? Go search for a Queen video...i think they were recording one vision or some kind of magik and you can see Freddy Mercury smoking as if there was no tomorrow.

  • yeah the keyboadist sounds like shit in the chorus, but he nails the "you know us" part, and the guy looks all cleaned up with interpol, i saw him with the secret machines and he looked like the biggest stoner on earth lol

  • They should consider how they present themselves live...bass player should be to the left of the scenario...it would create a visual balance and they wouldn't look that...unrelated to each other...it's like... the 3 original members all on this side because they my friends and fuck the bass and keyboard go on the otherside...i don't like them.

    That's how it feels...

  • @thehornypuppy fuck the new people and your gay ass name on here faggot

  • It's such a shame the sound engineer didn't give the bass drum a more powerful sound. The song lacks its studio power, which is a contradiction in itself. The sound is not as good as what a band like Interpol should get live. Paul's voice is weak and he's often out of tune. What did the sound engineer do about that???

  • I guess Paul and the rest of the band also want the Keyboardist to shut his mouth but as people say "The Show Must Go On"

the look on Paul's face reflects to the background singing, HE DOESN'T LIKE IT!!!

Who does like the keyboardist girly and offline?

    Not me, thats for sure

(Support my opinion with a thumbs up if you please)

"Have a nice day when ever you read this."=)

INTERPOL IS THE BEST (MY OPINION) =)

  • @JaimeR17may

yes I agree with everyone who thinks Interpol is the best and the keyboardist´s voice is something terrible

  • The bass lines are so sweet, it is sad to not see Carlos performing :(.

  • I miss Carlos ...

  • @222apple222

    I do too

  • I like the BGVs on Summer Well but not on here. :(

  • See you guys tomorrow in vienna!

  • sexi

  • Are you guys serious? I think Curtis's backup is great. It's just slightly different and not exactly what you would expect but that's interpol.

  • 21 NOVEMBER HMH AMSTERDAM! Weeeeeeeee :):)

  • I like Pajo ( the guy on the bass) but no one can make me like this keybordist

  • It sucks the keyboard guy ruins the climax where Paul's voice is amazing.. But hey, at least one band who stays true to what they've always played, even if Carlos isn't there any more. And that certainly is something I appreciate.

  • Daniel is a genius.

  • Tell the keyboardist to stop singing.

  • @remembermorrison lmao exactly

  • I hate the contrast between Paul and Brandon,,,,, I'd Rather Daniel sing back up like he did for PDA, and Song Seven

  • @zachy3621 i know, that guy ruins Paul's perfect voice. he's good but maybe he should stick to keyboards.

  • not the best song but it has a very catchy tune

  • Bud Light! ♥

  • Tomorrow I will see them at Corona Capital in Mexico City... is very cold and cloudy ... it will be great because before they play Echo and the Bunnymen and then nothing less than the Pixies ... I promise to upload a video!

  • @2OfSpades I don't know why someone "spammed" you. You're 400% correct. Without Carlos the next record(s) [If any..] will never be able to reach the same height that the current releases have. Carlos is a genius and when you loose someone like that in such a good band, it's obviously going to take away an important asset to their sound.

  • I don't care about all's been said and I don't want to say anything bad about the new bassist 'cause he does is job but Carlos was so much better and part of the image of Interpol. Without him it's not the same thing!

  • The transition to the "keep us away" verses from the guy on the keyboards is kind of awkward.

  • 4 Nickelback fans didn't like this video...

  • @schunathy lol random? Nickelback, ya I hate them but still, there not even the same type of genre as Interpol. They're (fake)rock and Interpol's Indierock

  • il bassista sembra che l'hanno preso in un discount cinese a 99 cents...ma mi pare bravo...cmq è un fenomeno

  • poor interpol- they used to be so good....

  • Thought I saw Pedro from napoleon dynamite

  • My hat goes off to the bass player. You can tell that he feels a bit wierd but righfully so. I mean, he has some pretty important boots to fill and he does a pretty good job. Having said that..CARLOS D COME BAAAACCCKKKK!!!

  • daniel has one really one wide tie on. and y'all give brandon a fucking break. i think interpol is really good with back-up vocals. carlos wasn't good at vox. if you want to catch a glimpse of his baaaad vox, check out song seven at their route du rock performance. the song is amazin but carlos vox sucks balls.

  • good song but the new guys........

  • I'd like to see Carlos moving playing his bass on this song...this is a great bass line, and Carlos movement is particular...for example at the end of not even jail...I love that movement!!! :)

  • my ny band comin to japan? someone knows?

  • god i wanna kill the keyboard guy!

  • The bass isn't really an issue for me because Pajo is playing it the way Carlos would; he's mimicking his style. As for that keyboardist...yeah, no.

  • arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the keyboardist is so shite. and the new bassist arhghhhhhhhhhhh so gutting

  • Backing vocals are terrible - what were they thinking?

This song and Success are my favorites off the new album.

  • THEY LOOK LIKE SO SAD, THEY MISS CARLOS.

  • i like this song but.....ahh no no noooo. the keyboardist isnt very interpol, neither is the new bassist. wheres the charisma?? wheres the rock the fuck out factor? come back carlos. he was such a big presence..... :-(

  • weak crowd

  • back up vocals are badass..it adds another level to their style!

  • ace

  • IMO Interpol no longer sounds like Joy Division

  • Brilliant, although I'm not enjoying the backup vocals.

  • i went to this and it was awesome! they played five songs. totally worth the line wait.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah!!! I was there!!!!

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

    :))

  • the back up vocals is a fail. almost ruin the song.

  • @drivera862 there actually keeping him in tune...careful now

  • seeing them october 25th! helllll yeahhh

  • @mwbtc, nice, im seeing them 4 days later. best band in existance these guys

  • god that song sucks

It's a really ''special'' way to promote a record by making its worst song as the lead single

summer well is at least a billion time better

  • Where are you Carlos D...!!!!

I think will be beter when Carlos Play the Bass...

  • Bad sound engineering. Can't hear any of the instruments properly

  • I was there! I stood in the Dave Pajo region haha I saw a million people break out their phones and record the songs they played. I wonder if anyone will post the performances of the other three songs...

  • Interpol is one of my all time favorite bands. Great new album, nothing could match the perfection that was Turn On The Bright Lights but still awesome stuff. Kimmel's sound guy sucks ha, why is the shitty guy singing back up louder than Paul?

  • interpol, how i missed you!!

  • oh no, i don't like the back vocals in that song :( !!

  • ¿Someone can tell me because in his new project is called Julian Plenti?

  • great performance!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song kicks a**

  • Comment removed

  • I think Pauls voice keeps getting better in every album :)

  • Paul ♥

  • Pajo is awesome!

  • it was actually 5 songs..

    barricade..

    summer well..

    success..

    slow hands..

    not even jail...

they sound great even without carlos...

  • @deftcure - Slow Hands wasn't played last night. It was The Heinrich Maneuver. The rest of the setlist is correct though... they did an amazing job last night! Can't complain about a free show... was glad I was up front near Pajo and the keyboardist. :) Can't wait to travel down to SD in October! :D

  • @blackwomb : yeah i fucked that one up...lol..im also going to that show!!..sweet!!

  • Ding dongs......Carlos didn't write the bass lines on this record, he has said that numerous times in print. People are so obsessed with that guy, go back and listen to old Interpol live stuff, Pajo is a much better player. It must really annoy this band that they continue to get the critics cold shoulder cause the dude with the hair cut and fancy costumes quit.

  • @adamdzurilla Carlos wrote the bass lines it was his last contribution to the band

  • are you guys mental? carlos wrote the bass lines for this album, he just isn't officially a part of interpol.

  • @flybikes29

cheeeewiz Thank you. All these fucking ppl talking about this dood laying a solid bassline. Its all Dengler you weirdos--his ideas.

  • Comment removed

  • @flybikes29 no sir, carlos didnt right anything. Daniel wrote the bass lines for all the albums. he's the man that made Interpol.

  • @flybikes29 i'm certain i read he had left before the writing and recording had finished.

  • @Dannzzx no he wrote it why would he leave and the band not telling him they were making an album

  • NICE! Going to see them live 21st of November in Holland. I don't really like the backing vocals. Paul should be the only one singing.

  • They need to kick out that keyboard guy. His voice is so annoying.

  • I wish there were more songs like this on "Interpol". For the most part that record puts me to sleeeeeeeeeep.

  • GREAT gig. They threw in a grip of songs. It was awesome to hear Not Even Jail.

  • @coffycup75 Take It Easy, A Grip Of Songs? It Was Only 4. It Was Free Though So Can't Complain :)

  • @SIeepyWonder

What? I meant that the band was generous and played more songs than they needed to. And yeah, a GRIP. Now go pick on someone else.

  • @coffycup75 :(

  • @SIeepyWonder

    Sorry.

  • I liked this song better than the other one they played

  • Man, I really wish I could see these guys live! Sounds pretty solid. Curtis's backup is so-so. I like Pajo too. Yeah, not as charismatic as Carlos, but I wasn't looking for another Carlos. I just want someone to be able to lay down a solid bass groove. You can't replace Carl in every sense (I miss him loads), but Pajo is solid from what I've seen.

  • @effinpeaz Totally agree with the annoying backup up vocals. Song would be better without the backup vocals.

  • I f*cking hate the new bassist ! He looks his feet when he's playing bass ! They would have been able to choose a more charismatic one...

  • Comment removed

  • @TheMemphisKol yeah, but you don't really expect him to be charismatic, i mean, if they took a charismatic guy we would all be complaining at how charismatic he is anyway and how he's trying to rip off carlos D

  • Can't hear the drums or guitars as well as we should. Not a big fan of Kimmel's stage.

  • Wow, this is the best live one I've heard yet. banks actually tries to sing the chorus at the end, and the middle second is done now.

  • thieves and snakes need homes <3

  • @aleinsomniac bees and snakes need homes...

  • @Conceicawo it's definitely thieves...

  • @KingsofLeon7 haha, listen again. I know all the lyrics say it's thieves, but these are just unofficial fanmade lyrics. Just watch his mouth and listen, you can't see him sing a 't' and a 'v' so it's bees.

  • @Conceicawo I honestly thought he did sing thieves, even on the record. Now paying a little more attention I can see your point. So it's bee hun?

  • @aleinsomniac Well I guess it is bees... but you can"t be sure till the official lyrics are released.

  • CANT HEAR DANIEL WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Guitars a little too low in this mix.

  • Sam is the fucking best drummer in rock music today. He can lay a heavy groove you'd only hear in hip hop samples.

  • I miss Carlos...

  • Imo, this is the best song on the new album!

  • Never heard of this song either

  • @BXallday4liffe it's off the latest album
