Great video-takes me back to my eager anticipation of its release after the bummed-out feeling when they split up and, sadly, the feeling of "it's not the same" as the Classic 7 we love so much. It's all good-they still tour and we catch them when they're close by and we can still hear the original songs. Thanks for posting!
I love the ending where Justin can't cut the cake and they all have to help him. John just shoves his hand down to slice it. lol. :) I love Justin here, he's so sexy.
awesome clip... it's so nice to see them smiling & laughing. I was able to catch the tour after Octave came out, I believe some L. D. V. music was included in it, if memory serves me right.
Those were the days... still miss Mike with them tho.
So that was 2 years before I graduated high school. My older sister went to the show for the Octave tour. I couldn't go, I was too young! Can you belive that!? I've seen the pictures for years and year, great to see the video. Where do you guys find this stuff!?
This was one year before I graduated High School. GOSH, I love that 70's look they have there!! Ray in his long hair and shades!!!!! OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhh!!
Kind of interesting that Mike Pinder wasn't there since he quit shortly after the release of Octave. I like all the songs on that album but I thought it was kinda weird that they didn't play "Steppin' in a Slide Zone" as it's the most popular song off of it. Oh and... bizzare!
Funny how many people don't realise that this and the similar release function for Long Distance Voyager three years later is what the album launch scene in Spinal Tap is based on.
This is very representative of its time and very typical of major album launches in America at the time.
Totally bizarre, but strangely compelling viewing. I agree totally with Cheerfulhamster; very Spinal Tap, as a lot of Moody Blues stuff is, if you think about it. But I couldn't believe the huge, laughing SMILE on Justin's face at the end. I didn't think he knew how to smile at that time. ; )
Bizarre. Was this made for the fan club? These sorts of industry events are about as un-Moody Blues as you can get. And oh yeah, that's secure - put the gold records on the *outside* of the armored car. It's like a scene from Spinal Tap.

Bizarrely entertaining.
Don't Justin and John look an absolute dream?
Ironic though that the most attractive man there has the by far least atractive wife (to put it kindly).
