I've said it before -- surreal Peter Gabriel was definitely the best Peter Gabriel. Wearing giant fox masks is far cooler than getting all preachy about Africa.
Whoo-ee, this was hidden well! Took me a while to find it. Thanks for this! I've been waiting here for soooo long ...to see PG in this sexy little red dress. I wish I'd been at this show!
Sorry Insect, I stand by my post, No Gabriel, No Hacket, No Genesis, they went from art to crap!, no one more then me would have liked to support Genesis after Peter left but The music speaks for itself, at least the songs were intack, durring live performances, when steve was still in the band, I'm sorry insect they suck!
@MrKellymcguire Well while I STRONGLY disagree ("Down and Out", "Undertow", "Snowbound", "Behind The Lines" and "Man On The Corner" compared to songs like "Ripples", "Eleventh Earl Of Mar" and "All In Mouse's Night") I of course still respect your opinion and hope that you can at least see where I'm coming from. Listen to "Birthday Boys", by Oysterhead, instead.
@MrKellymcguire That's not true. "...And Then There Were Three...", "Duke", and "Abacab" are all excellent albums, and personally (although some people will probably hate me for saying this), I don't think "Genesis", "Invisible Touch" and "We Can't Dance" are that bad, either! In fact, I'd say Collins-era Genesis arguably got better after the departure of Steve. I am not (intentionally) disrespecting his guitar skills, I just don't think his sound, if you will, meshed as well with Collins song..
@MrKellymcguire (continued) ..wrting as it did with Gabriel's. That being said, I can full-heartedly claim that both "A Trick Of The Tail" and "Wind And Wuthering" (if I had to pick) are two of my least favorite recordings to be released under the Genesis name.
he was forced to wear that costume.... in that song he dressed like an oldman... but in this concert they forced to promote the las record, that was foxtrot, end.
everyone whit his own tastes... Buddy Guy just give me so much sleep... and this(genesis) is my favorite band ever... tastes

I bet that David Bowie, disguised in his wolverine costume crawled up his leg and chomped his balls, at least what little balls he had left after deciding to come out on stage like this. Or perhaps it was the early stages of rabies.
The most original era of Genesis. Peter Gabriel was such a seemingly extraverted character, yet you can tell how shy he was and hiding behind the mask. Thanks merimouse :)

@TheMindOfPat If you're referring to "Biko" you need to do a reality check. That's a sublime song.
OroborusFMA 3 months ago
@OroborusFMA Biko can't be improved by being sung in a fox mask; your argument is invalid.

i wonder whear lady gaga got the costume idea from?
