and it's not even that i necessarily have a problem with making money, i'm relatively fine with anamanaguchi's music being recuperated into whatever scott pilgrim franchise they dream up, or starscream being used in skins. i'm just sad to see an otherwise talented kid talk about art in such an entrepreneurial and commodified way...

this guy sucks on a philosophical level, even if his music is relatively innovative and entertaining. i'm not talking about learning about electronic music from people in his church group, which is definitively cute and awesome, or even the fact that he has no interest in authentic hardware and prefers to use completely fabricated simulacra as samples. i'm talking about selling out and putting his stuff on itunes. read malcolm mclaren's article, mend yr ways...
